Getting the game tomorrow, few questions....

Hey all!

I play WoW now but I just find it very boring and mindless.

I am getting FFXI tomorrow, a long time fan of it, and I am wondering a few things..


Deciding between, Samurai and Darknight. I love doing damage in games like this, so which is best for me?

Also, what would be the best starting profession for a high damaging Samurai?

Also, I like to RP, is there an RP server or linkshell I could join?

Also, could any adopt me as their protege? lol

I learn quickly and it would be great for someone to guide me in the ways of Vanadiel.

    im wodering how do u get the extra jobs like the beast master or the ninja cause i wanna be them

    Alright, If you reallylike DMG Samurai is the way to go, quick TP = insane Weapon Skills, and the Great Katana's give alot of DMG per hit.

    Best Starting Job For Samurai would Be Warrior, Samurai/Warrior = crazy DMG, Theif is also good since you get Sneak Attack for better DMG.

    Not really an RP server, but there are alot of people who enjoy RPing on every server, so theyshouldnt be hard to find, and you can always make your own RP linkshell.

    As for the adopting as a protoge, I already have about 20 x.x but, if you wind up onthe Alexander server look me up (Tohma) i'll help ya out when ya need it ^^

    To answer your question The_Game, you get advanced jobs after you acheive lvl 30 on a regular job and you aquire the quest and complete from certain NPC's around the world.
