GAME RATING CHANGES EXPLAINED...AGAIN:

I thought I needed to make this really clear since I am hearing people accusing us of singling out certain games like EVE or WWII Online in our recent changed.
We did not single out any games. Please read our news release very carefully. All user ratings that met BOTH of the following criteria were deleted:
1) The user that rated the game logged into the site 2 or less days in their entire account history
2) The user rated the game extremely...in other words, all 10s or all 1's.
It just so happens that EVE and WWII Online were the most radically effected by this because so many of their ratings fit the above requirements. However many games across the list went up and down, some moved a whole lot...all in all we feel the improvements were need and for the better.
We are not limiting peoples ability to give a game a perfect 10....it will just have to be done under the new rules.

I don't think that is good criteria to delete ratings with. Especially considering that the "comment" for a rating is optional. We do want to delete offensive reviews or anyone who is dumb enough to say in their review that they never played the game, etc. But if someone puts "I love it!" - that is OK.
Like mentioned in an earlier post of mine, if things get out of line again I might start requiring a text review and place a word count limit on it. At that time we would do something like you mention here.

Only thing you need to do is automatically remove users accounts that are not active for a long period of time and so automatically remove all their FAKE ratings couse obiviusly they came here just to make up rating of the specific game. OR somehow check for user activities, not active - good bye! What do you think?
Howdy this is my first post here in these forums.
I am from the WWIIOL community and came here specifically to rate the game I have played for the last 2 1/2 years. I promise that once I have sufficient rank that I will rate it fairly and try not to see it through rose colored glasses so that your memebers here will get a good feeling of what it is like to play WWIIOL. (because I admit WWIIOL is not for everyone)
I do not intend however to stay active at your site, my wife barely tolerates the amount fo time I spend at our Allied High Command forums and my squads forums (Lafayette Federation)
so I hope that you don't mind if I impart my experience with WWIIOL to you and then run
Voting is for members only, that means you should be a part of the community and participate in it as often as you can. Vote is expresion of a choice or opinion. That means you should have to choose between something or have some options.
Here what you said: "I do not intend however to stay active at your site bla bla bla".
Question: "Why would you register(become a member) and vote only for WWIIOL?"
Personally as a member I dont need your FAKE ratings.
P.S. I didn't even see your comments for that game, ofcourse it is not required but excuse me you came here only with one purpose to rate WWIIOL.

I do not think you read my post very well nor fully understand the topic of the thread.
I am not allowed to post a review until I have sufficient rank. So no there is no review or remarks left yet for WWIIOL left by me.
And as I stated above I fully intend to give you all a fair review of WWIIOL. As I also stated above WWIIOL is not for everyone by any means and so I do not intend on sugar coating my review just so I can get a bunch of people that wont enjoy it. Because WWIIOL is heavily team dependant and it also requires alot of patience and communication so having people playing that don't like that only causes problems in the game.
Our community in WWIIOL is very tight I spend at least an hour a night just going through Allied High Command forums and My Squads forums. I notice that you have an imppressive 16 posts
I will usually put that many posts up in the WWIIOL community during the course of one day. So no I am sorry I can't spend alot of time in here. Because of 1) I don't have the time for it with my other commitments 2) I have already found the game that I love to play and don't have time for another.
I fail to see how my giving your community a Fair ( not trumped up) review of a game will harm your community. But if this truely is the case and you don't want me to do it, then I will drop it... just let me know
Yep. I fully agree with what you are doing FireFly. As long as you give a full honest review that is all we can ask of you
We will not delete reviews later just because you are not active.
The whole point of the requirements is to get more honest reviews, not make members more dedicated. It seemed to me that if a post was made on some fan site to boost the score of a game, few people would bother spending the effort required to earn a little rank at our site. Even if a few went through this to boost the game - the numbers would be small enough to be insignificant in the long run.

Next time be careful what you are saying. I thought you were another flying by bird good if I was wrong. What about my posts, well I dont like to post for no reasons maybe it is just the way I am. Anyways, welcome to the community and dont forget to check out COOL COMICS section, pretty funny.
