As a MMO veteran since Meridian in early 90s Wow has to be LEAST innovative mmo ever only popular because of millions sold on other games and it's 3-12 yr old kid learning curve. Whole series is ripped off of warhammer, diablo is only innovative game blizzard has ever produced. This brings nothing to the genre, the entire game is for noobs. Any Wow player calling anyone a noob doesn't realize their a noob themselves for palying this training wheel crap. Even the raid end game is a rip off a eq1, and if your under 60 get ready for your end game. If you want a real mmo hit EQ2, it was horrible at release, but has evolved into WAY better mmo. This game is popular for the same reason Britney Spears sold millions and sucks. Even the little events they hold are targeted towards children.
p.s. this is daughters ( 6 yr old ) account who happens to have a 60 and working second.

By the way Britney rocks my socks off!
it's not extremely innovative, but it does what it does better than most other games, and it has more in it as well.
Aside from star wars galaxies, this is one of the least limited feeling games i have played in a while, been level 60 for over a year and still going strong
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
yadda yadda yadda
There I shortned it up for those of you who did not want to read another WOW bashing Post.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith
oh for the love of god, let this thread die!!!
oops i just bumped it.
However other than that yes, it's nothing new really. But it goes to show that a game that is bug-free and very playable from the start will be very popular.
I only played for 2 months, but it was a ton of fun during then. This game won't be the ultimate mmorpg, but a fun game to play until the big one comes out (who knows when that will be)
I agree it's very simple, but it's bringing a lot of people into this genre that wouldn't normally...that might be a bad thing though, because everyone see the success of WoW and they'll copy it look at SWG with the NGE
Grinseal didn't we just have this thread last week ... hmm, yes we did:
