I am thinking about giving SOR another try.  I was impressed by the game, I liked the concept and the fact of no levels.

However my character died of lonleyness.  I cant remember the race that I was.  There were plenty of people on the starting zone but one I left I hardly saw anyone.

My question is this.  Are there more people now in the game ??

I hate playing solo

Any advice or tips would be welcome as I really think I would enjoy the game if I had a group at least everyonce and a while.

BTW what happened to spell checker that used to be here ??

Support Bacteria, its the only culture some people have.

There are definately not more people unless Ryzom has turned around some miraculous trial customer retention the last couple months. Episode 2 was almost another Patch 1 in terms of losing players it seems (Though Patch 1 was probably one of the most devestating patches I've ever seen a game make, drove away as many players as Neocron's LOM patch, and probably more than AO's patch 12)

I've only been to the tryker 1-50 and 50-100 areas yet, but those have been populated around the clock. From my experience trying out a few races, trykers seemed to have the least people on the newbie island so I can only assume there would be even more people in the other lowbie zones.

I completely understand the problem, in EverQuest 2 the evil side was almost abandon completely where I played. Allthough I'd still play Ryzom even if there only was one guild left there :P as long as I would be part of that guild, hehe ^^

Only guessing here, but your bad experience could be because that early in the game's life most of the starter players were in the higher zones, and everything between them and the new players was quiet, as the older players begin working on other skilltrees or make alts the population would be more distributed along the different types of content again. If that doesn't sound too silly :)

On the contrary the game is getting increasingly more popular by the day.  The mainlands have exploaded with new players, Zorai is still quiet, but with the new starter island in the next few weeks, interface changes and R2 on the way, it can only get more popular :)

Episode 2 didnt actually lose that many players, many have come back since they left, the draw of Ryzom is too great for many :)

All in all, I don't think I have ever seen Atys so crowded :)

Then send some of those Newbes over to Leanon, if it gets too crowded for you
We need some more here. I´m happy that more Peeps play SoR, but damn why do they all go to your Server?
Even the German players *LOL* That´s sooo unfair

Ryzom, we dare to be different.
    Do you dare to adapt?

    hihi *hugs madsam*

Agreed with Kibs there, in the Tryker capital Fairhaven there seems to be people all the time now, I very rarely go to Zoraï (I allways get lost in the jungles, I'm so tiny for the big trees and bushes hihi) so dunno bout there, but seems Matis and Fyros also have a quite good population these days the last time I remember it being this crowded was during Open beta 1 and the population seems to be increasing o/ jeeei! Else *points at Kibs' post* yepp

*Brain down for upgrade, don't try to understand my logic, I don't...*
