This game isnt really that bad. They just need to add some more content in the form of crafting and maybe faster modes of long distance transportation, but it still has alot of potential.
I have played many much worse MMO's recently that are just boring as hell with no real point in playing other then lvling up. I like exploring and crafting and an economy based game more then simply doing random pointless quests all day. How the economy and crafting will play out in dnl I dont know so far.
You guys who are disappointed just expected too much. There are very few decent mmo's out right now, and you were hoping this would be the next great thing.
Would you really put your confidence in a small startup company that has no experience with any video games whatsoever? I sure wouldn't.
The game is coming along decently, just give it some time. Now that they might, just might, have an income:D, other then borrowing money we might see more devs hired and improving the game.

And as far as just lvling up, everything else is broken man! Thats all there is to do is lvl up! You cant even explore without problems! You cant even combat without problems! So yeh, you can even level up!
I really don't understand all the effort the "haters" of DnL are putting into slamming the game - and a lot of them have never even been in-game. If you don't like it, don't play? I guess you have a right to spend your days crying and all, but again, I don't understand why anyone would waste so much time to do so.
I enjoy the game, and is doing better than some others at launch, as well as worse than others. It is not a load of crap like the haters say, that is just a lie. Many people like the game and are enjoying it. I am one of those people. The game is geared towards mature players, which may explain all the crybaby haters. It is a game about exploring and growing your character over time, and many don't like that they have to figure things out and work at it, but just as many are thrilled at the opportunity to have a more realistic adventure in the land of Ganareth, instead of logging on and leveling to 50 in one day. It is a huge world that we are just now starting in, and I for one like to be a true pioneer, and learn how and why things are done and what results you get when trying new things. If you want a game that you log into and start pvping in uber gear and can reach level 100 in a week, this game is not for you, and many of us don't want you there. If you don't have the smarts and patience to grow your toon, this is not for you. For the mature, intelligent, pioneering type player that looks to establish clans and realms and PvP for control in a vast world that you could truely become lost in, this game is probably for you.
bottom line, if you are an emotionally imature person with no patience or vision, you won't like the game - it's way over your head.
If you are mature, like to learn and figuring things out while you level at a realistic pace, and grow into your character to become a crafter or fighter etc... or just like to explore, I suggest you check the game out and see for yourself. There are many of us in-game that are having a great time.

This is an amazing game! The launch was painful.. A lot of delay. Some bugs. But the developers are some of the nicest I have ever been around. I expect a lot more to come from this game!! I believe in it.. And can definitely recommend this to other players out there. In time.. This will become the biggest MMORPG ever! Ztyx, to have an valid opinion means you have to have a comparable experience to compair this game to. Of the 18 or so MMORPG's that are out there, Dark & Light ranks near the bottom. That is a fact ! Almost every facet of this game is below industry standards and YOu keep saying they are working on it.
The game is out, it must be judged by itself and stand on it's own merit. Yeah, certain bugs or issues will be corrected over the next few weeks/months. But the game (as a whole) is so bad it will not last long enough for those patches or broken features to be fixed.
The game itself is horrible and alot of what you mention in your review ISN'T EVEN IN THE GAME YET. It's promised and at this point it just speculation if they can even deliver on it. So PLEASE stop with your obvious Fanboi posts and take a more objective view.
You cannot control guards and connot be a king. Sounds like you read the D&L FAQ and are confusing it with the actual game...!

The truth is, a POS like DnL would get laughed at even if it was free.

And as far as just lvling up, everything else is broken man! Thats all there is to do is lvl up! You cant even explore without problems! You cant even combat without problems! So yeh, you can even level up!
I enjoy the game, and is doing better than some others at launch, as well as worse than others. It is not a load of crap like the haters say, that is just a lie. Many people like the game and are enjoying it. I am one of those people. The game is geared towards mature players, which may explain all the crybaby haters. It is a game about exploring and growing your character over time, and many don't like that they have to figure things out and work at it, but just as many are thrilled at the opportunity to have a more realistic adventure in the land of Ganareth, instead of logging on and leveling to 50 in one day. It is a huge world that we are just now starting in, and I for one like to be a true pioneer, and learn how and why things are done and what results you get when trying new things. If you want a game that you log into and start pvping in uber gear and can reach level 100 in a week, this game is not for you, and many of us don't want you there. If you don't have the smarts and patience to grow your toon, this is not for you. For the mature, intelligent, pioneering type player that looks to establish clans and realms and PvP for control in a vast world that you could truely become lost in, this game is probably for you.
bottom line, if you are an emotionally imature person with no patience or vision, you won't like the game - it's way over your head.
If you are mature, like to learn and figuring things out while you level at a realistic pace, and grow into your character to become a crafter or fighter etc... or just like to explore, I suggest you check the game out and see for yourself. There are many of us in-game that are having a great time.
All I can ask is: Whats your gaming experience ?
The game world is beutiful. YES, but that is it... the characters themselves are hidious. The animations are hidious. Combat is hidious...!
Ztyx, to have an valid opinion means you have to have a comparable experience to compair this game to. Of the 18 or so MMORPG's that are out there, Dark & Light ranks near the bottom. That is a fact ! Almost every facet of this game is below industry standards and YOu keep saying they are working on it.
The game is out, it must be judged by itself and stand on it's own merit. Yeah, certain bugs or issues will be corrected over the next few weeks/months. But the game (as a whole) is so bad it will not last long enough for those patches or broken features to be fixed.
The game itself is horrible and alot of what you mention in your review ISN'T EVEN IN THE GAME YET. It's promised and at this point it just speculation if they can even deliver on it. So PLEASE stop with your obvious Fanboi posts and take a more objective view.
You cannot control guards and connot be a king. Sounds like you read the D&L FAQ and are confusing it with the actual game...!
