Mos Eisley, I think it was after the 1 year anniversary or around that, and they redid the newbie experience, there was the tutorial rush through which was super basic, and then there was the green droid. I think that was new though. I had no choice but to start in Eisley I think. This was the first free trial period they offered I think.
As soon as I got enough cash together for a shuttle, I hit Corellia and never looked back. My first home STILL stands on the river outside Tyrena.

Restuss, Rori ... LOL and I was a dancer, so that worked REAL well! And I was stubborn and tried to stay there! I finally gave in and went to Theed. Ashe was my first character. Kettemoor server.
It was in October 2003. My cousin had been playing for a couple months and met me there by the starport. It was really exciting as I had been hearing about the game since before it went live and am a huge SW fan. Was going through a divorce so did not get to play until October of '03. Man that first day was SO awesome. It was neat that I knew someone there the minute I logged in.
Thinking back to the days when there were no mounts and you had to run almost EVERYWHERE, plus the (sometimes) 45 min. "buff lines" ... that is a unique experience no one but us will ever know.
I miss the good ol' days when nerds were actually intelligent.
I started out on Tatooine (couldn't resist), but after a while I came back down to earth with a massive thump after JTL and before the CU.

Aye, i also started on Tatooine, Mos Isley. First thing i did was to hide myself behind som large junk to try and figure out how the menues and stuff worked. I thought that everyone would start shooting at me. This was somewhere around may 2004 and SWG was my first ever MMO and damn it had a strong impact on me. I remember playing the game until 7 AM several nights in a row. It was great fun! I was hooked!
I started in Moenia, Naboo. The same day I ran to Theed since that's where my friend started and I didn't know about shuttles (nor did I have enough credits for a ticket ). I was in awe as I would get to the top of a mountain and see the view below.
Mos Eisley Tatooine seemed like the best place to start out. It had everything a starter needs. Actually I liked it so much I have a home there and I only go to other planets for quests.
Mos Eisley Tatooine Kettemoor on day 1 started a journey to Bestine without speeder and got lost

Question:How does a game go from having it's main player demand being Hooded Cloaks, to reverting the game back when it didn't have Hooded Cloaks?
I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

Immediately after spawning, got attacked by Desert Demon Marksman. Killed shortly after.
Talk about a warm welcome.
I died about an hour later, in the middle of nowhere, completely lost and didn't play again for a few days.

Against my better judgement... Mos Entha, Tatt.

I started out running rebel delivery missions to and from Theed. When I hit 100k I would stop and start leveling. If I hit 200k I was one rich mofo.

Narmle, Rori for me. I must have stayed there for a month before shipping out.
Loved killing those giant rabbits, lol.
Moenia was my favorite city in the game. Prior to travesty that was player cities, Moenia was packed and you could count on some decent raids.
I played primarily on Kettemoor as Ico.

Man, I hated those spiders. They seemed to attack me every time I went near the town gates.
Played for about two weeks before I saw another player and took their advice. Rerolled on Tatooine, Mos Espa, and that's been 'home' ever since.
