wondering if i can just buy the Expansion and start playing? or do i need to buy Final Fantasy orignal copy cuz they dont seem to sell them anymore..

Need the origanal FF11 Game.

In the UK (not sure about the rest of the world) i got the Vana'deil Collection for £14.99 which includes the 1st and 2nd expansion pack. Good deal. It is available from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000EIT8JC/qid=1149980928/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_11_5/026-7929871-2117212)

Might be a online purchase option too, although i have never even looked into that.

The original edition is rather hard to find, but you really don't want it anyways. The new Vana'diel Collection is not that hard to find (Amazon has it) and is better because you get the Chains of Promathia expansion bundled in--with the original you'd have to buy it separately. I'd recommend you buy the Collection and see if you like it; the new expansion is way neat, but there's not a lot there for somebody under level 30. You can wait and see if you like the game before buying it.

The Collectors edition, and new expasnion is on DVD-ROM only, Just a heads up if you don't have one so you don't get your hopes up and find out you can't install it.

damn lol i was planning on buying FFX1 tomorrow, now ill have to buy a DVD-ROM ...now i have to wait till the next pay to get it life is not fun at the moment.
