Hello ,, i usually dont post much on these forums but i would like to put out my opinion on a game that ive been waiting for .. this is for those peeps who havent bought it yet and or are thinking about it.
First of all : WAIT dont buy this game yet,, maybe in 6 mo's to a year but dont spend your money on this game just yet..
Reason why: Well in my opinion the game isnt finished yet,, i spent 2 days so far running around looking at everything i could possibly look at,,and almost every single city i went to only had about 4 npc's and maybe a couple of quests,, and the rest of the city (citys) other then the 4 npc's are empty .. dont get me wrong the graphics in my opinion are pretty uber,, especially the land scape.. but alot of stuff is broken , alot of stuff is buggy,,and unless you have a high end pc ( ie i have a abit an8 fatality mobo with amd athlon 64 3500+ with 4 gigs of corsair xms pc4200 ram, pny7800 gt pci express x2,and 3 74 gig raptor's in a raid 0) and i still had lag,, the engine probally just needs a lil tuneing.. Now you can set the engine lvl in the game to 1 and i had no lag at all but still only had 24fps ...
Graphics: for the most part the graphics are awesome,, but i did see some tearing and the characters look kinda funney in my opinion... but as far as the environment goes ,, its probally one of the most impressive sites ive seen to be honest,, and theres some citys that look almost unfinished ,, ie a fence post that isnt snaped to the ground ,, so you see a floating piece of board
Spell effects: the spell effects really didnt impress me at all eq has better spell effects in my opinion
Mobs: When you can find them they look ok,, but again maybe if they put more time into the mobs like they did the flying dragons(kinda like the griffons in eq2 or wow) that take you to place to place they would look alot better, but again looks like they rushed and just put crap in there again..
Gameplay: Combat: combat looks like it was just thrown together ,, sometimes i see spell effects sometimes i dont,, reminds me of eq when it first came out.. some mobs in the game (noob areas) couldnt be attacked and theres no real seperation between say a lvl 1 and lvl 10,, they werent aggroable but again the combat in eq is better
Movement: movement is actually kinda buggy on the ground, ie... i got stuck alot... strafeing left and right didnt seem right.. swiming you cant go under water,, and you kinda move up and down when your swiming on top of the water,, some of the ramps stairs ladders are broken ,, ie you go right thru them,,, in the air its actually quite neat...yes you can fly your own mount around and or purchase a hang glider and jump from atop a mountain ,, and that is probally the most that i did..
Quests: there are quests but i never actually completed any so i wont comment on that,, from what i heard ingame all were broken or unfinished..
Environment: simply amazeing who ever made the engine for the world needs to finish the game,, thats probally the only part of the whole game i liked,,
mobs: i explored for like 2 days,, and simply put there are mobs, just really really far apart,, and when you do come across mobs(ie alot of em) there in a large group which i thought was cool .. humans dont usually travel long distances alone... but to many for 2 or even 3 peeps to attack..
i will be back to finish this just didnt want to loose what i had,, emergency

If they don't fix invert mouse by tuesday, I'm going to stop paying to beta test. Very good review. Someone who wanted to like it, gives his honest opinion of it and isn't just trying to lay a hate on it.

If you are in doubt, wait it out, I will. I don't want to get a bad first impression if I can help it.
Very hard to pull yourself over that hurdle if it occurs. Wait a few months, if it's better great, if not piss it off.

I will say even better, wait 6 month till the game dies of natural death.... (old age)
