I started a negative thread about PS. but after giving it alot more time playing I think its allright.
Its a good distraction for an hour or so but not everyday. It certanly is very expensive to play though. After the free 1 year is over I really doubt I will buy it.
Possibly if the price drops to 9 dollars monthly and they dont make me pay for software that already on my computer, then I might subscribe. Thats really the biggest bummer, they want you to buy the full package when you already have it with ur trial.

So you wanna get everything but you dont wanna pay anything for it lol...
Do like everyone did and buy the game if you think it's worth it... and correct me if im wrong but you are capped to like level 8? Or did that change? Playing as a low level character is a lot harder than having a BR25 CR5 hehe...
I'm a LONG time vet of PS and I agree with Wookie. PS is fun. But not worth the fee. In fact I had cancelled my sub to PS (well actually my 'sub' was an AAP) in November when SOE rolled the NGE. And PS has never been worth $13 a month, imo, so I refused to pay for it alone. I came back specifically because of the reserves program. When the free year runs out I'll be gone again.
PS is fun... but worth a monthly fee of $13.95, it is not. I'd pay about $8 or $9 a month for it though.

Insulting people based on grammar on a board visited by people all over the world is lame. You have no way of knowing if English is his first language or not. Additionally, who the hell cares about grammatical correctness on a message board about video games? At least he's not using 'leet speak' (which I tend to just ignore). And, by the way, your grammar is almost as bad as his is.

Perhaps you might 'wanna' brush up on yours also...don't be so picky about nothing.
Back to the topic, PS is a fantastic game. It's truly a game where the people make a difference. Find yourself a good outfit, or even a squad, and you'll have a blast. There's few games that can compete when you're stuck defending a tower with a handful of other squaddies, fighting down to the last man. Or sneaking onto an enemy-held continent with a small squad, hacking a base, then getting the feck out of Dodge and onto the next base, trying to stay one step ahead of the sea of Red/Purple closing in behind you.
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

Ahh ok my mistake. Since you didn't make it very clear what you were talking about I (and evidently other people as well) thought you were busting on his grammatical skills.

NO PROBLEM
Not really.
I have a BR24/CR5 NC on Werner, BR24/CR4 VS on Markov and im playing the 1 year free trial simply because at BR6 you can play perfectly well and don't have to pay for it.
I regularly come out with 3 or 4-1 k/d ratio, BR has nothing to do with anything, 1 implant is more than enough and I can use any vehicle/weapon i want too whenever i want too. I can respec all my skills at the same time and when my character gets over 7 days old i delete it and make another one (2 hours to BR6 max).
If you want to pay for this game be my guest, it's your cash, you can throw it away however you see fit.
Doing the training over and over again is a bit boring. I created a half dozen of characters on the server, specialized in one kind of gameplay : GI, infilt, sniper, ground vehicles, air vehicles, max unit...
Whenever I want to change my gameplay, I just relog with the appropriate character.

BINGO: We have a winner! That's what I do as well
PS needs to lower the fee. It's not enough bang for the buck to charge $13.95 a month.
