the only aspect about SWG that i actually liked was the space combat, but i guess that is because it was designed by a completely different team of people. the same people that made Wing Commander back in the day. that was a great game too...
but nonetheless, que sara sara SWG hopefully an actual good company like Bioware will bring out a Starwars mmo we'd be in heaven. at least that company is about making a quality game rather than making something just for the sake of $$$.
Sums up very well my exact feelings toward SoE/LA in regards to SwG. They screwed the pooch and it turned around and tore off both their arms. Awesome article mate!!! Cheers
I read through this again and i just wanted to say im glad that MMORPG.com had the balls to put up such a topic.
Most companies that pamper and cater to the companies that make these games would rather go along with the things we have had to endure then to actually comment on it.
Great editorial, so right too! Pre CU SWG really was the bomb, total freedom and not really depended on progress for groups / raids. Economy was well worth the game too, effort was money!
TBH the CU made me go World of Warcraft at that time.... I would still go back if a Pre CU server came up.
