almost 40

I just hit 30 last night, so now I am thinking towards my lvl 40 class, I am currently a Human Knight, thinking about the Warlord class. do I need to switch back to fighter to become WL at 40?

You can't "change back". You are what you are. So now your only two choices are Paladin or Dark Avenger.
