2. level cap is 50, and there's a realm rank cap of RR13, and a master level cap of 10
3. Sort of. there's necromancers, that turn into a shade form and control a corpse instead. and there's banshees, that have a different casting form. but none as advanced as the druid shifting in wow.
4. I like this a lot better thank wow. it's a lot easier to find more to do when you hit the level cap, not as much of a grind. and there's a lot more opertunity for pvp, without getting involuntary pvp while trying to level.
5. you don't need huge amounts of cash, and it's quite easy to get cash when you do need it aswell.
6. You can get armour and weapons as drops, from vendors, and also crafted by players.
hope this helps

but i downloaded the trial (i couldnt play on it because i didnt have a credit card at that point) and i saw a movie i got along with the trial, and i mentioned a few classes, and it mentioned a class called hero,, and it looked like he turned into some kind of deer walking on two legs, did i just see wrong?
is there something you could mentiong about the game that is better then WoW? would rly help me
(If you've seen the 13th warrior it also mentions vendo although they aren't implemented in exactly the same way)
I used to play Daoc a long time ago, but one of the expansions killed it for me (TOA) didn't like the ML grind although i did like the concept of working for 'Epic' weapons and leveling them. I've been thinking of going back onto one of the classic servers although that would mean starting from scratch since all my characters are in Midgard on the MLF server.
I suppose I was hard core with this game since at one point I had 3 active accounts.
Daoc will take longer to reach max level than WoW, but it will feel like an acheivment, the main thing that will keep up the interest is the PvP (RvR) where there is a pont to the conflict and the PvP rankings (Realm Ranks) are simply based on the number of realm points you earn, your progression is not affected by how well other people have doing in your faction.
There are battlegrounds to play in as you level but the real PvP takes place in the frontier which is all PvP enabled, you can level without pvping and get reasonably geard , but to gain the extra edge from the abilitiies you have to ..... PvP (This is on the classic servers), on the normal servers you can get things called master levels which also give additional abilities and Epic weapons that give an additional edge in PvP.
Daoc seems split at the moment on the Classic (Non TOA) servers and the regular servers, which one to play I couldn't suggest (most people seem to suggest classic) I am still stuck trying to decide whether to reup on regular or classic servers
As for shapechanging, there are also some items you can get that will shapechang you. There is a weapon you can get hit by that turns your enemy into a scarab. There is another item you can use to turn your group into wolves.
Another thing to note about spells. Most spells can be interupted from casting by being hit or moving.
How fast you level in DAoC depends on how you level. As a brand new player without friends, yeah it can take a while. For an oldtimer like me with lots of friends and access to tons of bots etc. it takes a day or two.
And WoW sucks, has no endgame
