What is your problem? And why hide the children? I really and truthfully don't get some people. I mean the silly and rude comments simply do get on my nerves. They shouldn't be made anyway. People should be able to have a nice discussion about There without these griefers posting like this.
Originally posted by Joel1120 Originally posted by katriell I've played both. SL does have more freedom, in that you can create anything without going through a product submissions system. It also has scripting (although that leads to a lot of lag >.<). I think There is prettier graphically, though, and something about it feels more...polished. I'm not your enemy. I still love There. But I do suggest you think carefully about the advice I gave you.
Well once in There why goto Second Life? I don't get it, was it because of the Black Friday event? Well for your information that is over. There has changed hands and things are running smoothly again. Bug fixes are being made and product updates are coming alone just fine. Also, in the last beta test members found out new land was going to be added in one of the coming updates. There is PG-13 so the product submission system is needed. There is going to get scripting one day and I expect some kind of little in-world object editing tool one day as well. There is more polished as well. The people who worked on There's design were genius, pure genius.
Also, if you are not my enemy why act like it? I love There too but anyone who ventures into Second Life sure is standing on a thin line, and it is easy to cross. I don't believe I read any advice you gave me. I'll have to look again tho. Also, you are a There player and I wonder why people don't jump on you.

Oh, it's Joel again! Hi Joel! You want to do this once more? Cause I sure know I do.
Note: Don't mention anything about SL to Joel. He craps himself whenever you say it.
Bob, I want to make a peace treaty. I want to be able to talk on common ground with you without either one of us flamming each other. I don't want to fight, I don't like to fight. I am a peace maker, now lets build a sort of understanding between each other. Don't fight with me and I won't fight with you. That is how it works and I hope it does work.

Wow! PG-13!? Where do I sign up!
And SEE! He's saying SL sux again!
Yes, I don't really care for Second Life. I spent 9 months in the game but I didn't know any better. Thing is I spent around 500 dollars on virtual land and then Linden Labs turns around and says I never made the purchese. Would you think Second Life or the company behind it was ok after that would happen to you? Really, I don't think you'd be too alright about it. No one would like that to happen to them.

Lawl, $500? For virtual land? That my friend, was your first mistake.

Or until you shutup about There and/or go away.
You are trying to cause trouble. I know you want me to say something so I get banned but I am not going to. I enjoy There and that is my motivation in sharing it with others. I will do that until There shuts down or I don't have access to There any more.

You're right I am trying to cause trouble. And NOBODY CARES IF YOU LIKE THERE SO MUCH. You've established that in your first thread. And what will you do when There shuts down?
Originally posted by tetsul He might as well fight you, since you're dishonest. Why would he trust your treaty? No seriously. I'll quit if you play There and send me proof of it. Remember that? Doesn't say anything about length, just says play. I played, the end.
I don't even remember shaking hands with you or signing some kind of legal agreement. Seriosuly, I wasn't binded by anything. You didn't enjoy the game or stay so I am coming back, and that is final. I would most likely stay away from these forums if I at least made one person really appriate There for what it is. But don't even pretend to like There if you don't I wouldn't want that.

Lawl, $500? For virtual land? That my friend, was your first mistake. Hey, it was part of a crazy scheme I had to make a huge amount of Linden dollars. However, without the land I couldn't do anything. So I packed my bags and traveled on to greener pastures, literally! I went There.

If There would shut down I would have to find another home on the internet. I'd most likely follow the rest of There's community, I would go where ever they go. Many online communities have migrated to There but I hope the whole of There's community never has to migrate any where else.

Originally posted by tetsul No I don't think it's possible to even pretend to like There after you've played SL once. Just try to weasel out of an agreement then. Why should anyone believe anything you say about There? Your word is obviously meaningless.
Why is it so hard to like There after being in Second Life? I had a horrible experience in Second Life but I stayed for some of the friends I had there. That is the only reason that kept me there, and my dream of opening a huge mall that never quite worked out, obviously. Second Life is no better then There, that is not opinion but fact. You can look at all that is possible in There and all the activities in There and tell that it would be a wise choice to stick with There. I believe There has more potential and is truly the path to realizing the dream of the Metaverse. There's platform is very advanced and in some way or another will live on to see the dream of the Metaverse come true.

Oh no, not the hard-core Therians at least. There is alot of tension between There and Second Life, they don't quite go together. There makes fun of Second Life and vice versa. There simply isn't a good relationship between the two worlds. However, many members did make a migration to Second Life after Black Friday which was an announcment made by the previous company that owned There. But There was bought and things have improved, those who have stuck with There have been rewarded.
I can tell you anyone left in There truly does not care too much for Second Life. We often make fun of the avatars, for instence the defult walk animation and the over all clutter look of the Second Life world. Boy, good jokes and awesome times!

Why is this thread stickied? Someone has a sick sense of humor if they think anyone wants to listen to this weasel lie about everything. People are only as good as their word Joel.
