I tryed searching for a mmorpg that have real life curency... but couldnt find any.

I have played Project Entropia, now named Entropia universe, but afther 2years I see this is not going anywhere... I have heard ruomers that sony are developing a new game, with this kind of economy but not sure what the game is called....

Anyway, do any of you know about games that uses real money, be it $ or Euro, that is based on this and dont have montly fee.

You bet I am gonna explain it to you!

Yes, There trades real world currency for ThereBucks. Basically, people also sometimes do that the other way around, they trade ThereBucks for real world currency. So if you some how make a huge income of ThereBucks then you can trade that income for real world money, some people actually make their entire living off of There. The main way of doing this is designing/building user created content and then selling it in There's auctions. Different content sells for different prices and There's economy is also changing alot. Sometimes one designer will get alot of attention for a period of time and then another will. Like user made houses may sell more then a buggy one day or the other way the next day.

So, you have to stay on top of the market and meet the current demands.

But if you are ok with spending real world money on There then send me a personal messege on this site and i'll show you around There. Or we can work something out on this thread.

    There's site is... Here

I hate to bring this one up but I think "Fly for Fun" you can buy currency and there is no monthly fee and its a traditional combat grinder. I actually downloaded it and played it for about 2 or 3 days awhile back. It doesn't look and play to bad. You gotta like that cartoony anime look. (Just like WoW....sorry, cheap shot, I know)

It had a problem with having enough servers from what I remember, the 2 they had where always full. I don't know to much about it other then that.

I have no idea what your taste in games is but there you go.....

Kimmi: I want combat, so I'm not interested in There.

Joel: OK, tell me when you sign on so I can show you around.

Joel, do you ever *listen* to other people? Ever?

Joel, Im not trying to offend you,but I just have one quick question. Why the hell do you like there so much? I tried it out and god damn. It was boring, the whole user-created universe sounds cool, but man what the hell. Its boring.

Thanks for asking. The reason why is mainly the community and the potential I think There has. I see the vision behind There to be awesome, almost one of a kind. I also think that vision could go far and do many things for both basic communication over the internet and expand the internet in general. I see the idea of the Metaverse to be possible and important. And I think There may be the way to achieve that goal, or the path to at least take a step forward towards it. I think There is a tressure chest of artistic vision and inspiration. There is simply the canvas, but it is the world's job to paint it. That is at least how I see it, but there are many ways to look at the idea of virtual worlds.

I don't mean to interupt you two but Project Entropia is another game that uses real money. Infact, if you want to get anywhere you HAVE to use real money, you can also make alot of money if your lucky. I didn't like it but I think that was only because i didnt put any money into it. Good luck.

PS- Joel, I enjoy the wars between you and bob and everyone else, but if someone seems reluctant to go for There, dont push it on them. If thats not what hes looking for, then find someone else to talk to.

No you see, he asked you why you liked it and you could have answered in a sentence or 2. But instead you typed out a paragraph on various stuff we've heard already. And if you'd read anyother thread other than one's that have something to do with There, you'd know I can be helpful.

Actually, I wrote everything I had to in order to completely give him all reasons why I like There. Basically because of the creativity within There, the community, and the idea behind There. I put that all in paragraph form tho.
