in The Matrix Online

OK usually I give games a try, when I start to play them. But this game sux.  It just flat out suxs. 

Now if some people could comment on my posts and tell me otherwise I would be more than happy to see the good in this game.

    This game, is thruoughly one of the better MMORPGS out on the market. The dev team is more dedicated thanany right next to Roma Victor. although its a 123456 key pounder, its not a "lets slay fairies for a +5 flame resistant gauntlet"  Hacker and Coder trees are amazing

    but most of all, the RP experience is great, carrying on the name of the movies into a game in with a continuing story. the game system doesnt need to be a beast to run it.  THe RP though, the story is constantly updated, continuing, flowing, assasainations (and the assasasin) main deaths, betrayals..and not only that but you can partake in them, its up to you wheather or not hte assasaination goes down, whether the ambush is succesful.

    tell me, what is so bad about it?

    Just needed some input, sounds pretty good, I guess I will give it a try

    Just in past expirences with this game it wasn't fun, but i might as well give it a run

    The game is fun I love RPing with people and this game lets you do, just the other day Zion was fighting Machines to take control of a church I love it and Would hope you would at least try it through the 10 day trial

    mission grind yeh, but the missions are not the point of the game. the
    point of the game is the RP, and continuing the story line of the
    matrix.  The story line in the game is canon, and i heard in some cases
    even influenced by the Wachowski brothers (the developers of the
    original matrix movies)


    Running into charectors from the movies, some not from the movie, and
    being able to change the story line on your own is where it shines. no
    scripts (except for major events) here,  you can mold the universe (or
    Megacity) on your own.


    mission grinding is thre though, not ognna lie, but in a week you can pwoer level to like 45-50

    Not saying it can't be done but I don't know anyone that went from 0 to 45 or 50 in a week.  This game is not going to be about Missions its just not.

    It ends up being PvP and RP thats it.  I enjoy that aspect so I still play even though Im at the cap if thats not your thing that this is not the game for you.

    To me this game was a big let down.   I mean, I like MMO's, and I like The Matrix... so why didn't I like this game?

    Let me begin with saying some good things about this game, the graphics are pretty good, and the sound for this game is pretty sweet aswell.  But it just didn't have a very good matrix feel to it.  I had to remind myself time and time again that I was in fact in the matrix and this wasn't just some crappy spin off from The Matrix.

    Overall, the game is just okay, but it does have some pretty awesome visuals to go along with some cool sound effects.

    I wouldn't doubt that the Wachowski brothers are the reason the game failed.  I was never impressed with the mini stories their writer kept coming out with.  They were short and pretty dumb, an assassin that was a bunch of flies?  Not very exciting, not very matrix-like.

    Fatal flaw that should have been fixed, NO NEO, NO TRINITY, NO SMITH.  Bad idea on the part of the W brothers, proof they are not geniuses, even though most of their fans keep telling them they must be.

    The city is basically any city you'd live in, something like GTAVC or GTASA.  There is nothing special there to make it matrix-like.  It's a city.  The only matrix-feel you get is when you log in and when you do your special combat moves and when you're jumping around like NEO!  How canonical is that?

    If all your defenders of the game are right and the rest of us are wrong, where's the legions of loyal Matrix fans to come to the rescue of this game?  Either none of them have computers, or they just plain know this game isn't very good, especially set in a timeline when NEO, TRINITY and SMITH are no longer there.

    I really wanted to like this game, being such a big fan of the movies, but I just couldn't get over how monotonous it was. The missions were about as fun as paying taxes and everywhere looked the same. Granted I only played a week or so but it got to the point were I couldn't bring myself to start the software.

    Now that some time has gone by I might pop back in and see what kind of changes they have made since I left, but all in all this game was DDO-esque...aka a big let down.

    My wife and I RP in the bedroom every night :)  Usually she plays a naughty maid or some such ;)  Trust me, it's a lot more fun than ANY MMORPG... this POS doesn't even come close :)

    I've had the Trinity roleplay. I prefer Doctors and Nurses.

    Like Grimboj says I don't pay £10 a month to invent my own game. This game has no content worth any money. Avoid like the plague.
