I play NC and our weapons are far superior to the TR at range (well our HA one isn't). The Gauss is far more accurate than the Chain Gun at range (much smaller bloom). The key to fighting at range as NC is to remember your Gauss rifle and learn to fire in short bursts. The Gauss does the most damage at range of any of the MA Rifles. The Pulsar is more accurate but as long as you control your fire rate you can tear up a pulsar user.
In the HA area the TR have an advantage since the MCG works "ok" at long range. Then the VS, their lasher will tear you up at range but their fairly easy to avoid. Then NC. The Shotgun shells are worthless at range.
NC has the best, bar none, AV weapon in the game. Then VS... the ability to use their AV weapon as both an AV weapon and a poor-man's sniper rifle is just mean.... then TR. The striker is nice but it's pretty easy to avoid the missiles by breaking their lock (which isn't hard at all to do). Great for chasing off aircraft though.
Beyond that I'd say most things are pretty much equal... though I do like the VS MAX ability to jump during outdoor fights. Indoors both TR and NC are a bit stronger but the maxes are pretty balanced to be honest.
Indoors the weapons are all pretty much equal though Lasher's are BRUTAL in hallway fights. 2 or 3 Lasher gunners can lock down a hallway pretty darn effectively.
