1.  Homoseuxality is not sexual depravity. 

2.  The thread really should have been closed when it started because it is so obviously trolling.  This thread is about people feeling a safe place to express hate towards homosexuals online because that hate if expressed in normal society would cause people to shun them for being hateful bigots, and the responses to this bigotry.

I'm astounded by the amount of hobophobia on these boards. Homosexuality is something that is, and should become more accepted, from the admin's behaviour, it seems these people are allowed to create their gay friendly guild, why should the game have to have a Mature rating? May the gay people corrupt your children?

Once you go down that road its the old achoholism is a disease or cleptomania or pryromania or attention deficit disorder. Ya know when I was a kid my father had a cure for whatever ailed me, He'd kick my ass so I did'nt steal or light fires, get bad grades. Heck, back in the day, report card day on my street used to sound like the wailing wall.

So it has nothing to do with any kind of ailment, the real problem is once you start having gay, black, white, straight, rich or any other type of exclusive group. That smacks of eliteism.

1.  People commonly state that sexuality is a choice, but this is a mistake.  There have been millions of dollars and thousands of hours put into studying human sexuality and child development.  The results are not clear on whether or not sexuality is a result of nature (genetics) or nurture (early childhood influences) but they are absolutely clear that sexuality cannot be chosen. 

I assume from your statements that you are straight.  Could you choose to be gay?  Not just choose to have homosexual intercourse, but decide to be attracted to other males?  It is the same for homosexuals. . . 

Also, this idea falls flat on it's face when you look at it closely.  No one would choose to be a part of a group that is ostracized by society and condemned by popular religion. 

2.  The guild in question is not exclusive to any group.  They ask that all members be gay-friendly.  They want to have a place where they can play with people who will not treat them hatefully.  Straight people who will not say hateful things to them are very welcome to join.

1.  It is hateful to compare homosexuals to terrorists, and I am reporting your post for it.

2.  The research has been performed by scientists who have had their results produced in peer-reviewed journals.  Many of these scientists were interested in understanding human sexuality so that they might "cure" homosexuality as if it were a disease, which it is not.  They've found that it is more like a trait - like being left or right-handed.  It is real scientific research - not right or left-wing spin.  Both sides refer to this same research when real problems arise as to not do so is foolish.  There is made up "science" out there, but it is not peer-reviewed APA journals.

3.  People choose what they DO.  You could choose to only have sex with other males for the rest of your life, but you could not choose to be ATTRACTED to them.  So there is a choice to have the sexual act, but sexuality is not the act of sex, it is the attraction.

Murder and the other crimes that you mention are ACTS.  They are behavior and not human traits.  A murderer is just a person who commits murder, much like a swimmer is a person who swims.  Homosexuals are not homosexual because they have gay sex.  They are homosexual because they are attracted to other people of their own gender.  Left-handed people are not left-handed because they write with their left-hand.  They are left-handed because their brains are wired that way.

We earn some labels for our actions.  Other labels - the ones that we protect people for are given to us by our genes or our early childhood development.  That is why we prevent prejudice towards people due to their TRAITS like skin color, but do not prevent prejudice based on actions, like theft or murder.
