iv downloaded the game and looked at the servers and it seems that no one is one them, this game is great y does it seem no one plays?? it seemed like all the players were on one server.

Most of the servers are clustered.... if you want a real figure of how many are playing on a given cluster, you need to add all the grouped servers together. That said, there's a reason most people are playing on Gareth.
yeah the populations are clustered,
i think they should merge some servers
cause their are just like 25 servers i think
and while there is about 3000 players
1200 of them are on gareth
and then about 800 on Merlin
and then the rest are in these other minor servers
However gareth is the best
due to the lack of ToA
this makes the game have more meaningful pvp,
and not so much raiding where you wait around for hours
Also people go to gareth simply because all the people are in gareth.

Further, as for the population, as a game ages less people play it. Mythic made some huge design and marketing flaws a few years ago. In a sense, they rested on their laurells. They did not try and really expand their game. They put out an expansion that most people did not like. They waited 18 months to actually fix what msot people hated about that expansion. Then WoW came out and took about 30% of most mmorpgs playerbase. DAOC has many old accounts on it. Those people once in college now have jobs and families. All of which means they play less.
Now, Mythic has redidicated themselves to DAOC and actively involved in making many changes and updates to the game. At one time they used to add content to the original game for free besides just occasional quests. They stoped doing that. However, they are now in the process of adding new content for free to the original areas of the game.
