Resource gathering: Not unique
Are there other games out there where you survey for a spot (which is always changing with new resource spawns) and you then place a harvestor on it to gather resources for you?
Crafting system: Not unique
Again, what other games use components, factories and vendors?
Space Combat: yes, this is a nice feature
Player Housing: Not unique
I know other games exist with player housing, but isn't SWG the only one where housing isn't instanced, where houses are placed like in a real world? What about Player cities?
entertainers: yes, this is different
Visual Character Customization: how is this unique? Ever play CoH/CoV, EQ2, or pretty much every other game ever?
No, I haven't. Do these games let you just adjust even the finer details of your character like mouth size, jaw lines, etc?
Twitch Combat: It's not twitch. It's point and hold a button down to spaz out like a freaking moron.
Twitch combat is where you control the shooting. This is what SWG does
Sandbox maps: Ummm...if you are referring to an open area accessable to all players...that's about as old as it gets.
Can you place objects on these maps which other players can also interact with?
This game USED to be unique. Now it's a sorry excuse for a console game. Nice try though.
These are genuine questions btw My post was based on what I've read in reviews and forum threads so I'd like to know if I've absorbed the wrong information. At the very least I don't think these features are very common in todays big MMO's.
Please don't tell people that the legacy quests are new content. The vast majority of the legacy quests are drive 500km to this point and kill 10 of these guys plus 15 of those guys then drive back. Now drive 700km to this point and kill 13 of these guys plus 11 of the other guys...etc.

3: EVE
4: Player stations in EVE although it's a hard comparison.
5: Can't think of another MMO with entertainers.
6: EVE lets you customise an avatar but only the portrait.
7: It's an unholy marriage of twitch and turn based.
8: EVE
