World of raidcraft

in Lineage 2

i looked into lineage 2 and i like it so far before i buy i got a few Q's.  i left wow due to the fact it was becoming very timeconsuming with raids and def not for a casual gamer.  how are raids on this game will it take me forever to get good gear.  how big are raids and how hard are dungeons.  and how long it usually take to complete a dungeon.  are their any bind on pickup items?  and how does world pvp works?

also i must ask do you get to make your own houses and citys ect ect.  and can you make war with other guilds?  sorry if this is asking alot i just like to know these things before i buy the game.

    If you think wow was time consuming you're in for rude awakening in L2.

    L2 is really bad grinding game, where your time has been consumed by raids in wow in L2 you will lose all your time on leveling up while dealing with botters, farmers and griefers.

    As far as raiding is concerned I've seen some posts where raids took 3 weeks to assemble and 4 hours to execute, but then again Antheros is not nefarian and then again the encounter is just zerg dps.

    Let me put it this way.

    World of Warcraft:  It takes 20 days to reach 60 and another 80 to get the gear. Your level is level of your gear at 60 if you haven't figured it out yet. (blaintantly stolen and rewritten quote :P )

    Lineage 2 : It will take you 75 days of 8 hours a day to reach level 75 and still not get all the gear you need.

    They´s a big grind for exp and gear/Adena (Money is Adena),  but some the classses has easier time to get good gear

    Bounty Hunters can spoil and earn abit better then other classes

    Warsmiths usealy earns good Adean´s at higher lvls, if you can keep your comp turned on with crafting shop up


    then theys manor to earn good Adena but its pretty crappy anyway

    Raid´s arent like wow in
    this game most Raid Bosses stand´s out in the middel off the land free
    to be attacked bye anyone, they should requires 40 player´s or
    something, around the mobs lvl, useally Raid Partys are formened in
    City´s and the loot is split to the lucky in random groups

    then theys a few special
    Raid bosses Anathras, Valakas, Baium and a few more, that requires
    quests and mobs to be passed before you can get to em, and requires a
    lot off more players to, but better drops ;)

    and how hard are dungeons.  and how long it usually take to complete a dungeon.

    they 2 kinds off Dungons  but they arent the same as wow, 1 off em is a Normal hunting spots with Monster´s that has 4X normal hp as other mobs has outside

    the other is the Rift happens in a Safe Zone but Fragments off Dimensions is needed, they last around 30 minutes each time


     are their any bind on pickup items?

    No thank god ^^, but unlike wow its Rare that you get a Full weapon or Armor drop, you mostly get the maths to craft the items

     and how does world pvp works?

    Its free for all pvp, they are safe zones like Town´s and a few other places... Basicly you can get killede bye another player almost anywhere

    if you die from another player from around lvl 1 to 51 you lose around 8 % witch is lower the higher lvl and at 52 to 78 its should be 4% and then get lower the higher lvl, they are 100% Rezzecrution Scroll but cost lots they´s also Bishop and Elven Elder good % Rezzecrution spells

    Theys clan wars in the game to if you die to another player that´s in a clan your warring you lose 1/4 % exp off a normal Death

    They´s also Sieges if you die in em you lose 1/4 % off a normal exp death.
    the sieges happens every two weeks, if a clan succeds to get a castle they can control the Taxes in town´s and earning lot off Adena´s


    also i must ask do you get to make your own houses and citys ect ect.

    No, but with a clan you can get a Clan Hall but Cost a lot

     and can you make war with other guilds?

    yes as many as you like, or max is 32 not sure

      sorry if this is asking alot i just like to know these things before i buy the game.

    one last thing, if you die to a Mob/monster they a chance you can drop some off your stuff, you can´t drop your weapon tho as White

    WoW is actly a tuff grind at lvl 60, you have to be in a very good
    guild to Raid instances, and do it very often and they usealy take up
    to 2 hours or 4 hours non stop if your not very active almost any guild
    will kick you out.. oh well

    Well active is subjective term, guild usually wants you to log on for more then just raids. If you put time in your guild you can get good and clear mc in 2-3 hours, bwl in 3-5 hours, AQ40 (is a stupid long annoying instance that took forever without mounts and even with them) in 1 -2 days if you split it.

    Yea grinding instances week in week out can get to you, especially whenever new instance is added guilds lose members due to fatigue over learning new encounters.

    But once you get the zone on farm status it becomes fun then boring then you get fed up.

    On my hunter I have pretty much top gear right now that you can get and that took a long time to get.

    Most fun I had in wow was leveling up.

    This is actually a tough question. WoW is easier and harder in different ways.

    WoW has a super easy grind to cap but a horrible grind at 60 whether you are doing the PvP honor grind or the raids. (all games get you in the shorts somehow)

    The short version - yes, if you last that long. However you are not restricted to getting your gear in instanced raids. Get it how you can in L2. The long...........if you decide to play ask again

    depends on your level and what you are trying to do. The dragons take hundreds of people to take down. I'm not even sure if our newest dragon has been killed on every server yet. The smaller raids bosses can be done with a few groups. Its not rigid like WoW with its manditory 20/40 man formations.

    complete? L2 is set up more like a traditional MMO, you basically go in until you are finished grinding. They are not instanced, they are all public. Kill until you are done and leave or die.

    unfortunately, no. L2 is not a sandbox game.

    Sounds like you need to do some homework. I will link you some info. This game is far harder up front then WoW. If you don't like the idea of open PvP, tough grind or a hard economy watch out. You WoW guys are not known for your thick skins, patience or understanding of the economy mechanic.

    Class - race info (this is very important if you are coming from WoW. In L2 each race has a specific set of specialties, roles and classes unlike WoW with its handful of generic classes 8 or 9? I forgot)

    There are many more sites, this game is nothing like WoW, read up....its far more challenging and better then WoW could ever hope to be.
