Communication on Xbox360

I've played online rpgs on consoles before and the chat was hard because I had to use an ingame keyboard which took me way to long to type sentences. Is this the case with FF on Xbox 360? I know there are quick translation responces but I dont want to have to resort to those. Your help is much appreciated.

    There will probably be keyboards for the 360. I think they did the same for the PS2.

    I believe you can simply plug a standard USB keyboard into the Xbox and use it. The PS2 works that way.
