I think it is a matter of personal perference.. I am a PvP oriented player and I love the complexitiy of combat mechanic that Guild Wars can offer. Guild Wars already held several GvG world tournaments but I have not yet seen Blizzard helds any battlegound world tournament. This alone shows Guild Wars PvP is more dynamic, complex and engaging than WoW PvP. I think Guild wars would appeal players who are more PvP oriented and more tatical/stratgical adopt. WoW simply could not satifiy this group of players.

Considering the GW tournametns have prizes at around $50k and compare that to the tons of money blizz is raking in, but still has crappy BGs and the difference is pretty stark.
When you get into GW GvG you realize how shallow WoW BGs are. The same can be said about Eve "world" pvp versus WoW. Eventually people come to realzie the only thing WoW had going for it was decent solo quests and fun 5 mans.
The rest is quite mediocre or in the case of raiding for most; excruciating. Whether you like or dislike Eve, its just plain undeniable that those who play Eve can affect its world to an extent that is lightyears beyond WoW and sometimes do so in vast armadas involving hundreds of players. And the player politics is so far beyond WoW its pathetic. The same can be said for Guild Wars and match play. The compelxity of team builds and tactics and execution that top teams put out in Guild Wars is so far beyond WoW its pathetic. Just the number of variations GW can have on a few themes is amazing. Plus the fact you have no idea what a good team may be coming in with, but in WoW you always know. Man, WoW is so one-dimensional. It genuinely makes me sad.
If complete = a mile wide and inch deep. Then sure WoW is "complete". But many people realize just how half-assed some of it is after they play a few other games. And just how much they rely on tired old unimaginative EQ hacks to drive their game.

I guess we needed to realize that there is no such thing as replayability in a PvE oriented game. No matter how much contents/features designers trying to put into the game, players will eventually try them all. They will complaint and bore again. The only thing that prove (has proven) to substain long-term players base, is a good PvP system. I am surprise to see many MMOPRG companies still rolled out plenty of PvE oriented MMORPGs, then later offer an half-baked PvP extensions. This kind of arrangement rarely goes well..
The reason wow is falling behind and EvE Remains top is, EvE has the best community i have every seen for a game, mature and well thought out posts for the most parts and the mods on the forums are very fast at dealing with trolling/spam/flames etc etc. The dev team regualrly posts asking for player feedback and suggestions, id guess atleast half the patched content in EvE is from a player suggestion. CCP are very good at listening to the players and they understand what they want better than blizzard seem to.
As for being a game, EvE's graphics blow WoW out of the water and then some, if you play EvE properly and play it for a while so that you understand almost every aspect of the game you will realise that there is a alot more as far as graphic diversity and quality past the starting systems.
PVP, well compare the 2 and wow shouldnt even call it pvp. Risk Vs Reward in an MMORPG at its best with EvE.
I aint gunna continue babbeling, simple wow sucks as a game compared. Iv played to 60 on wow and i just find myself idling so much, there is bugger all content that isnt raiding. Blizzard dont give a shit about the community, i got fed up of 10 yr old spammers by lvl 30. And the forum whiners are even worse
No, seriously, more people come to www.mmorpg.com to complain about World of Warcraft. I barely see any good reviews, and the WoW official forums totally beats these forums. The majority of the WoW players probably don't even know about this site and even if just 40% of the people did, har har, good bye Eve! Honestly, I don't get how Eve can be a great game... Mining and /afk is really all the skill you need, haha. I don't care what smartass comments you come up with this but WoW will always > Eve. My opinion of course, and for those level 24 noobs giving WoW a bad name, hahaha learn2play and get to 60 and actually stop sucking, and even more, learn2be good. I'm sick of all those little posers saying they actually have a 60, when they quit at level 7. Having not even explored 2% of the whole game and giving it a bad name is noobish. You fail at MMORPG's.
Enough said.

Actually, Warcrap is not a good game. You can be a fanboi all you want, but even while my experience in EVE was none too great, I can still say that EVE > WoW in every aspect.
You see, all the official WoW forum people do know about mmorpg.com. You see only good feedback in the WoW forums because only people with an active subscription can post there. It would be as bad as SWG's forums if anyone with a copy of WoW were allowed to say anything there.
I quit with 2 level 60s, a 57, and a collection of 35s. I have a screenshot if you want it. Warcrap is boring through and through.
I can assume that you've never even tried EVE, otherwise you wouldn't be playing WoW now ^_^.
