Good games for solo players?

I've been playing WoW on and off again since it came out because I keep getting bored with it but go back for lack of anything better. Well, now I'm asking about anything better. Something already out or will be out soon.

Wow also became a grind for the best items which to me takes most of the fun from a game. I liked it better before they started adding the stupid battlegrounds and such.

I know many wonder why play a MMOG if I don't want to group but most groups (and guilds for that matter) are filled with a bunch of school age kids (or at least act like it) and try to tell you how to play your own character... no offense to those that are school age but you know what I mean. I truly hate grouping.

I do like PvP as PvE gets old real quick and PvP adds a whole new element and excitement.

Other games I've played are DAoC, Everquest for the trial period and then quit (never have I hated a game more than this) Asherons Call and SWG (this game was dead before release, just many players didn't know it yet). I tried guild Wars but didn't care for it.

So, any recommendations?

the elder scrolls: oblivion.  and for your PvP get a FPS, that has no LvL grind whatsoever.

personally i think grouping is very fun, since you are relying on other people and them on you.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

RF Online might be a game for you. note that it IS an asian grinder, so be prepared for that. but you always solo in the game. in fact, there is a PENALTY for grouping. funny enough, the game is based on big group vs group pvp. I say, give it a go.
