Wow... I NEVER thought it would be as bad as it was...
Here we go...
- First, the Lag was WORSE than ANY time during the last week's TC Events. Almost EVERY comment in my chat win was about lag & rubberbanding.
- Entering the boarder of Restuss Flags you PVP.
- I got 8 PVP kills vs 4 deaths total. Thank you Dev's!
- There were about 100 players that I could count, 140 at most.
- Most quit within 10 minutes... the numbers dropped dramaticly.
- The NPC's were pointless. The did almost no damage, and the didn't balance the sides. There was NO smart support system to balance the city battle.
- The Imp's NEVER got a foothold in the city due to the imbalance. There were double the Rebel NPC's as Imp due to how fast the Imp NPC's would go down... since Rebels outnumbered Imp's 2 to 1.
- Now the fun part:
- The Explossion went off fine, but the final Explosion FROZE EVERYONE. About 1/3 went LD, and 100% of all players DIED due to the Freeze. This was with about 80 players in city I could see.
- After the explosion, entering Restuss Flags you as PVP.
- After the explosion, NO CIVILIANS ARE ALLOWED IN RESTUSS.
- The bases are so poorly defended that the Rebels (about 40) over-ran the Imp base, keeping ANY Imps from going SF without dieing immeadiatly.
- Last, the Dev's FLED due to the players being so upset that they ganged up on the DEv's Screaming at them. I was there. I saw it.
So, how is this going to work on Bria with 600+ players? Short answer- It won't.
If you were there, please add your comments... I can't say I'll agree, but the stories of players deserves to be told...

Don't know what server you're on... When I was
there, everything was already blown up, people were just sitting
around, and it was lagging like heck. maybe I'm just used to playing an
actual FPS that can handle 50 people? Helios was whizzing around at
high speed, but the lag made him just jump from place to place like he
had WAY too much coffee.

I dunno maybe you have a bad computer or connection,but it works great for me and theres tons of rebs and imps fighting.
looks liek the rebs are winning at this point though

Without a major effort to eliminate lag issues in the game, the attempt to bring larger scale fights to SWG can't be successful, especially with the current combat system.

Oh, and BTW... there is no Jedi hilt & it take 4700 commendations to get the armor... if you're all combat (ROFL) that's 188,000 NPC Kills, with a visit back to your Restuss Faction base 4700 times.... just wow....., these guys are clueless...

Heh, if I went by everything written on the forums I probably wouldn't be playing the game. Luckily they're rarely correct. I'm not saying this isn't going to lag, I'm sure it will, but I don't think that will stop me from having fun.

Bah, I don't understand what could possibly be appealing in this game and I'm sure you don't either MX, but he's still having fun and calling him ignorant is uncalled for. Obraik is never insulting in his posts and he really tries to prove his point honestly and fairly, albeit with a somewhat fanboi-ish approach.
As per the topic: the Restuss event would be decent without lag. But we used to have huge battles like this every weekend. If they would fix the game (Pre-CU), Restuss would be quite good.
If Restuss was their last-ditch effort, I'd say things are going to look pretty grim for the Galaxies team pretty soon.

Just a reminder here. When you made this thread, you made it on a public forum, which means its open to opinions and whoever has access to said forums. Keep that in mind next time before telling somebody if they are right or wrong and theyve lost credibility. I can make the same claim regarding youre experience with the event. I can say youre ignorant and you have no credibility right? I can by the logic that has been shown.

Call me ignorant all you like, better then being a sheep and following what people say on some forums.
I think restuss will seriously pawn anyone thats not in USA..... And most probably even people within US.
The servers don't funchion too well once you get 100 people in one area.
The last event i went to on chilastra... i recon there were around 150 players.. it took 20 seconds for a special to fire. Some times longer. They also heavily populated the area with npcs.
