Does this seem weird to me? Why did you even post it? People in EverQuest 2 forum should of already visited the site and clicked beta and saw that. Unless you just wanted to give link.

I want to cast magic missle.

EQ2 beta limited registration since about 1pm est... "Due to the popularity of EverQuest and anticipation to be one of the first to experience and test EverQuest II, our Beta Application server is currently at full capacity. We are still accepting applications so we ask that you please try again later. " NDA coming... I guess most of the 100k EQ subscribers flooded in to try and get their applications in before the expected crash of the server and the closing of the application process. The EQ2beta application is for a limited time and mayby later (july, aug.) it will reopen to accept more applications for the EQ2beta3 (long term EQ subscribers) and EQ2beta4 (open[?sept]) stages.

! Be advised the application process (shockwave program) reads your system specs to confirm if your system is up to grade before you submit the required DXdiag. Also mozilla browser is not too good to apply, use IE5 or beter.
They are being hard core about the 64MB DX9 (pixel/vertex shader capable) gpu and DirectSound card minimum requirements.

The LoE notices went out Friday 30 Apr "Greetings,

As a Lords of EverQuest(tm) player who took advantage of our offer to participate in a special phase of the EverQuest II(r) beta, you DO NOT have to apply for the beta on May 3rd, 2004.

We will send you an email in the future which will contain additional instructions and information pertaining to the special phase of the EverQuest II beta that you may participate in.

Thank you for playing Lords of EverQuest, and we look forward to your participation in the EverQuest II beta.

    -Sony Online Entertainment"
The LoE qualifiers ('flaged accounts') will just be added to a pool of those to be selected for EQ2beta2 slots.
'Players who purchase LoE and register the game on SOEGames.net (using their EverQuest account) before 11:59 p.m. PST on January 3, 2004 will be eligible for a special phase of the EverQuest II beta. Additionally, current EverQuest players can receive an extra 30 days added on to the end of their current EverQuest subscription by participating in this promotion (see details below). Lords of EverQuest is expected to ship to U.S. and Canadian retail stores on December 2, 2003.

In order to participate in the special phase of the EverQuest II beta (tentatively scheduled for Spring 2004), players must have an active EverQuest account throughout the special phase of EverQuest II beta. Players who purchase Lords of EverQuest will find an offer inside the box outlining all of the terms and conditions, as well as complete instructions on how to take advantage of this unprecedented offer.'

Legends people had to have an active Legends account on or before 3 Feb. 2004 to qualify for the small number of EQ2beta1 invitations.
