Question about the Game

Hi, i'm playing the trial of the game so far but I have a few questions about what I might see on the mainland.

- I'm wondering if I can align myself with the Kami when I'm playing a Tryker and if that's possible, will I face any negative reprecustions because of that (like not being able to enter a Tryker city?)

- Is the community centered alot around roleplaying? Like, if I started talking about something like Monty Python or greeted people with a Ni, would people be annoyed or something?

- And are outposts owned by guilds? (Are there many outposts and guilds for that question as well) Do guilds fight against each other over outposts and do the factions (Kami and Karavan) fight and gain and lose territory?

I'm thinking of starting this since I like the more open ended feel of it, especially since the last mmo i really invested time in was wow :P

Yes.

Only if your fame with the Tryker race drops below -60 (I think).

People probably wouldn't be annoyed unless you interrupted an obvious roleplaying session. There is more roleplaying than in other games. Very little on the starting island or the Universe chat channel, though.

Yes.

But, let´s not forget, that after these PvP oriented features. There´ll be new RP oriented things. R² being the most obvious one on the horizon yet.  *glee*

So, I for myself will keep up with whats comming, will shut my ears againt the whining from both sides and will wait until judgemendday if I have to, to get my hands on Ryzom Ring!!

kami tryker is easily possible, just a few more missions than a kami born race

the community do RP, they must do it somewhere else from what I've noticed :P no most people wont be annoyed by monty python quotes but in the same way we dont really want the game being full of people joking bout chuck norris etc constantly. best leave that community to WoW (call me elitist if you like)

alot of guilds do own outposts, there is not enough outposts to go around and everyone wants one, the territory  fighting will become live once the spires come live (dont as when that will be tho, soon(tm) my guess

just do your thing, enjoy yourself and you should be ok
