Been looking at this game, but the PvP-ness of it has me a bit concerned.
I have no problem with PvP - when it doesn't interfere with me trying to lvl, craft, quest, or some other activity.
Is there a big problem with this in RF Online? Or is PvP pretty much contained to certain areas/restrictions/etc? Haven't been able to find a straight answer in reading about it.
I think large scale PvP is great if the server can handle the load. Can it?
Thanks in advance,
Nyn

Unless, of course, a griefer is around. There are those high level players who take pleasure in ganking the lowbies, but that doesn't happen all too often.
To clarify -
Staying in your factions territory ...how much territory is that? And what do you mean about the griefers? Can they get you in your faction territory as well or do you have to go outside it? I played DaoC long ago, and the idea of the 'frontier' being dangerous but everywhere that was 'Hibernia' being safe to lvl, craft, xp, chat, whatever was completely and totally safe. I'm surprised no one has posted here to call me a carebear, but really if I want to kill people, I load up an FPS I guess my real question is could I enjoy this game with only minimal PvP participation/interference (ie big events, cool - griefing, bad )?

But mostly it's easy to get a few people together to kill them, or just ask if there's any high level characters in the area.
So, once above level 30 it will interfere with your leveling. But since you dont lose any XP from getting PKed and it's often easy to get rid of them (or move to another hunting area) it isnt to much of a problem.
