Just trolling =P
But yeah, I wouldn't know much about the pros being stuck on the trial until payday, but I agree with the character customization and graphics. The cons.. well, it's not that small of a community anymore =P.
I'm not sure what you mean by "non-linear advancement" though, as it's all pretty much linear as far as i can tell... you kill stuff to level up, you get skills based on your level, and you can't really alter your character from the template other than your equipment, but this comes from a guy stuck at level 9 due to the the trial >_>.
Yeah the chat system sucks... used to being able to multitask, but with chatting you either type OR look/move around. Also, the channel system feels clunky.
I love the UI..well that its customizable.
The con system to me a very nice. There are 2 version of the con system a simple and a detailed view.
The rest of what you wrote I agree with.
You're missing one very important pro:
A community that actually roleplays (Lucan D'Lere server anyways)!!!
Con:
Isn't good enough to get you over your EQI nostalgia.
This is a preatty accruet list but
shouldnt non-linear andvancement be in the pros??
i didnt think it was a good thing to have a game where lvl 1-10 you go here lvl 10 15 you go here lvl 15 you do this.....etc
The new EQ2, better than ever befor !
don't click this link...
well i have to disagree with you on the population... there are alot of people that still play this game... the lowest populated server is medium
the reuse of dungeons?? come on they have this in place to reduce farming of named NPC's ...
as far as optional purchases... the expansion packs are essentially a totally different game i have absolutely no problem paying 30 dollars for loads of extra content
the adventure packs.. at first i was a bit iffy on them, but hell .. they are only 8 bucks.. the first one is $5 i believe anyone can afford that.. i like the idea.. i recently got Fallen Dynasty and im very impressed
as far as the pros are concerned.. .i agree with you 100% would like to add two more to it tho..
Owning of a house!!
Tons of Items to wield/wear or even put in your house
Oh I can't stand roleplayers. If I get another group with a ratonga that speakss like thisesss I'm going to explode.
"Time.." I chuckled "I hold no secret to time, though it's mystery puzzles me. Deny it's existence and lie to myself not with hopes of a quickened pace."
I feel sad, frustrated and alone after reading this...
How I miss my shammy.
I'm not really here...
If there's a non-linear element to EQ2, I haven't encountered it yet.

agreed by the fact you are limited to your class ability. It is not sandbox so no hybrid of say a templar and assassin possible.
But you do have loads of variation where you can hunt at different levels.Yes so and so zone is 40-50 encounters but there are many different so and so zones to hunt at.
Which makes every new alt a different experience if you choose it to be.Only issue is it takes a long time to get 1-70 so most would rather continue developing their main then do it again.
solo play limited isnt a bad thing
You forgot to read the bold red letters at the top of the post. Also, you are just giving another opinion.
