Ive registered, dowloaded, installed, and i meet all the requirements. When i load up Eve it brings up the picture of a ship, then that goes away and all i see is stars. At the stars screen it jsut stays there... whats wrong?

Are you using a firewall of some sort?

Now, this is a hazy memory indeed, but I recall reading questions about something like this, and it being related to Eve not getting through a firewall to connect. Quick-check any readme-files installed with the game, think a certain port needs to be open for the client to connect...

Just did a quick search on their forums.. wasn't related to the actual problem, but: IP address 157.157.139.10 port 26000 for TCP/IP and port 26001 for UDP

No luck. i shut both down and im still stuck gazing at the stars... at least they sparkle so i know sumthins working.
