What are the server populations like?

I quit playing in May, so it's been about 2 months and the server pops were dropping like a rock then.  I'm just curious as to how the pops are now?  Is anyone still playing this game?

I figured that those who didn't like it dumped already and those who love it have hit level 10 a couple of times already.  So is there still a healthy population or is the pool of players dwindling?  Anyone know?

No idea what the server populations are like.  There's no indicator in the game at all to tell you whether they are high, low, or indifferent.  In the daytime it feels very empty and at night it is rather crowded.  Don't know how it was two months ago.  But it doesn't feel much different than a month ago.

Still not worth paying for though :)   I have 20 more days free playtime... then it's back to free trials till they get an expansion or 2 into the game.

Servers are still pretty dead. There are only ever parties for the waterworks for people on free trial & rerolling - the mid levels (3-7) are dead as a doornail and ive given up on 2 characters (and my subscription) as a result.

What a difference 3 weeks makes...

My trial runs out monday (The 30 day one that came with the box a friend gave me)
    Things I've discovered:
There are absolutely, positiveily, fewer people playing now than when I started doing free trials in late may/early june...  Back then you could get a group almost instantly, even during off hours.  Tons of groups LFM were in the "Looking for more" list... at any given time of day there were always at least 5 or 6 and during peak time I never bothered counting, more than 10 though.

Now, during off hours, you're lucky to see 2 groups looking for more... often 1 high level group and 1 low level group... sometimes 3 groups... rarely 4 or more...

During PEAK time it's REALLY noticeable... Rarely do you see more than 5 or 6 (where it used to be 10+) groups looking for more.  And some days it's only 3 or 4... talking the same times of day that, 20 days ago, you'd have your pick of over a dozen groups....

Game is shrinking... also the "who" functionality the list is much shorter than it was in June.... MUCH shorter.....

Entire guilds have vanished.  My friends list went from solid green most nights to solid red most nights in that timeframe.  I think the big boom in june was because the free trial came out.  Now that most have tried it and decided it's not worth buying the free trial crowd is dying off and the subscribers continue to dwindle.

Common conversations I've heard in group chat, guild chat and area chat are people hoping NWN2 is really good or Vanguard etc....

No, I don't have numbers.... I just know how the game feels now... and typically... it feels pretty empty compared to just 30 days ago.  I wonder how many people are still subscribing now...  I know several were hlding out to see if the module improved things and it had really mixed reception among the people I know.

Still has great quests, if you can find a group that's not doing one of the 10 'most popular' dungeons... (which gets old fast).  Which brings us to the "Drow Phenomena".... now that drow have been added as an 'unlock' race even when you do see groups Looking for More players o ver half of them are "HArbor quests on Elite for Faction only" so that players can unlock drow faster.  So if you do see 6 or 7 groups looking for more people it is really only 2 or 3 that are actually doing something besides newbie quests that youv'e done a million times already.

As said before... I never had any plans to subscribe.... but damn.. if I had?  I wouldn't now.

    As a for instance:
It's 9am on a Saturday... typically not a crowded time but back when I first started you could reasonably expect to find a group quickly anytime on the weekends....  Today I spent an hour trying to FORM a group, let alone getting into one already formed.... No luck.... hardly anyone on and most who are are just high levels soloing lowbie quests for faction so they can unlock their drow.

Server population is actually quite high.  There are as many as 7 people on at any one time.

I have no problem getting a group. I really don't understand these posts. I can run 5 free trials on my pc's and group myself.
