DnL Devs are the BEST!!!!

Apparently, the DnL devs are actually going to start, *gasp*, TESTING THEIR CODE!  Not only that, but they're going to have a full fledged TEST SERVER as well!

What other MMORPG can make this claim?  Huh?  Name one!

    My god. They have done everything ackbasswards from the beginning. But who will play on the test server? They probably have the same population of players on the normal server as most games have on their test. They honestly didn't think the crap needed to be tested before they pushed it out?

    lol. I never picked this game up, it much more fun to read the boards about it.

    Implementing a test server lol. What will they add next?

    Little late if ya ask me. But good stuff!

    Me neither. DnL has kept me plenty entertained and I didn't have to pay 60 bucks.

    You know whats funny.
    We was just discussing about this thing a few posts ago.
    We all stated that Farlan SHOULD use their "Closed Beta" server as a Test server to test patches prior to actually releasing them.

    BOOM!
    A few days later they create a NEWS Post stating the exact same thing we have mentioned here!
    Coincidence?

    But ya.
    What an awesome IDEA>
    Lets go TEST the PATCH BEFORE it gets RELEASED into the LIVE SERVER!!!

    Now how many games has EVER TESTED their PATCH BEFORE they RELEASE it to their LIVE SERVERS?!?!?!

    Pretty much what they have stated in that NEWS POST IS:


    Ya we know we didn't really test the last few patches but now we are going to ... trust us, we are REALLY going to test the patches BEFORE they get introduced into the LIVE SERVER.

    Thats because the game cannot be "picked up" ...!  It is NOT sold in any stores ...!!

    A GM of the Guild SDA, one of the guild that has some vocal supporters in the official D&L Forums, just announced he is quittting D&L after a GM Event in-game:




    Short story, He attacked a 5000hp GM in-game and died and lost his 850k goth dragon he just bought 2hrs prior the event.
    His excuse, there should have been more communication about the event so he wouldn't have charged the GM on his own and die and also lose his new dragaon.

    These supporters are just ...

    AT least half those people arn't fanbois, but power gamers making the most out of the simulator..!

    That wasn't an Event.... sounds like it was a drunk GM wanting to stir some shit up.  And probably didn't even know about buybale pets and rezing them... so he ignorantly sat on the corpse instead or roleplaying a Scenario like Wandering threw that plain or valley heading somehwere... etc.

    Piss poor, but then again... so is EVERYTHING related to this project.

    sorry didnt see this thread first making note of the so-called gank fest GM Event.

    I guess now too the Devs are stating that the skills available to some of the classes - those on the hotbar - are bannable is you use them.

    That they are implementing a "code of gameplay" - meaning that if you know you can use something that would give a good defensive/offensive tactic, then you really shouldnt use it cuz it is, afterall, only in the testing stages. A new unspoken "rule".

    What a fucking joke.
