If after 3 months do they delete your characters and your account and then your cdkey become useless? I read in one of the reviews that this happens. If so thats pretty dumb.

I don't know really, but I do know this. Most companies use this ploy to decieve a customer into thinking that their hard earned characters will be deleted, this is how they keep you from leaving. This is far from the truth. Just recently I reactivated my account for UO(I was gone for about 18 months) and all my characters on my main server were still there.
I say my main server because I had one or two low level characters on other servers that were wiped from the system. In general, it's a good idea to keep the same character going for 3 months straight than to litter the servers with several low level characters. And BTW if you create a PlayOnline account DO NOT delete it if you decide to quit. PlayOnline itself is a free service and it's the games themsevles that cost cash to play. But alas you still have to keep a CC# on file with POL, even though they don't charge you for the service.
This may help prolong your characters data if you choose to leave and come back one day. Hope this helps explain some things for you.

Do they delete your characters in three months. No, basically they only do that if you dont pay your monthly fee, but as you know now, by your recent question, who ever said that "your account will be deleated in three months, because that he/she person is a liar, but anyways that is your question so thanks for asking.
