Test Server to be available for the RARE Few!

SO for some unknown reason, Farlan had a brainstorm that maybe they
should TEST their patches and bug fixes PRIOR to adding them into the
LIVE game.
(Gee what an idea, TEST patches PRIOR to releasing it, who would have tought?!?!?)

The best part about this "Test Server" is that ONLY a very limited few are going to be able to access it.
At this time it has been spilled that it will be 20 people at the start (not including the dev team).
This
guys MUST be awesome and dedicated TESTERS and Dev Team for ONLY
needing 20 people to be TESTERS in a game that is suppose to be "The
LArgest MMORPG You Have Ever Seen!"!

You read that right people, 20 Testers to be in a Test Server!

The AD anouncement does not mean that 20 private and professional beta
testers will work on debugging. It only means that 20 people will have
access to beta server appart from the devs... which is a good way to
failure.



As I said on the french board we don't know who are these 20 testers, so this is only assumptions.


If NP3 need some additionals testers they will ask the help of the community.

    The rabid fanboi's that tell them the game is great anyway. Those will be their beta testers. So testing won't matter.

    That's a pretty insincere boggle though. I think I'm all flabbergasted out with the D&L team.  What's next? Subscription cost increase? News of an expansion? The CEO cursing out the fans and then re-routing the domain to a porn site? Are there any hi-jinxs those wacky Frenchmen won't succumb to?

    You do know that criticism is what helps improve many things in this world of ours.
    If people are surrounded by "Yes Men" all the time, nothing will be improved ...
    It is always good to have company around you that "Thinks outside the box".

    Have you checked that forum section?
    Have you checked Jeuxonline and Jeuxvideo?

    Anyone who bought into the POS after the SoG fiasco is pretty much deserving what they get.  Only a rabid FanBoi from the Git-Go could have been blind enough to the reality of the game state to think it was going to be anything but a smoking load.

    So please, stop complaining about it.  Or, just quit the game and let it die the death it so richly deserves.

    The reason why the test will be limited to 20 is probably the same reason they closed the beta when they opened SoG they just didn't have tthe hardware to run two versions of the game at once.  My guess if they will limit the users and possibly the accessable area to save on server costs.  They certainly are not making any money on DnL and I doubt they have any money left to buy new servers.  I would be highly surprised if all the devs are still being paid.

    If they take 20 fanboys to the test server what will happen to the regular server?  Its only a matter of time until those 20 fanboys are the only ones left playing on both servers.

    Actually 20 testers sounds just about right.
    What they did was split
    the player base by 50% which allows 20 on the test servers and 20 on
    the gaming servers. Testing will be quite accurate this way.

    If the non-test server is bug ridden, i wonder how the test server will be, a crashing unplayable bug ridden fest?

    Whatever happened to the "internal testing"? I guess this proves their long standing claim of "internal testing" is more BS. Do they even understand the concept of a test server? Isnt a test server used AFTER the internal testing?

    Everybody knows a test server is as good as the size of its population so ,for once, Farlan has made things right:they have a 20 ppl test server and soon a 20  ppl live server.

    Seriously,that should be the expected server population in 1 month(end of free period).

    End the rip off pay upfront period you mean? Since DnL is the first game to not only offer an horrible experience (the one of being ripped off)  but also to not include a free month...
