Alternative Buying Method?

in Final Fantasy XI
Hi. I was out today looking for FFXI (the base game) to start playing with. I went to 3 different stores and all they had were the expansions to the game. I was hoping to start playing today and I was wondering if there is a way I can buy a CD-Key online with a download client to the game (commercially of course, I don't want to buy someone's used cd-key). Is this possible? Or do I have to buy the game online through Amazon or something like that?

    Download the client? That is possible but it wont work.

    Scroll to the very bottom, it tells you where to buy it online for every system.
    IF one is out of stock, try another.
