I was a player of this game on the first days of the release. I went to EB Games and bought the collectors edition, and 3 regular editions....Yup I had 4 accounts. Raced home and installed the game, fired up my accounts and started my adventures.

I was in SW heaven, there was so much to do, and so many places to see. As I ran through the first couple hours of my gameplay, I started with delivery missions, and made some good credits, especially onc I figured out how to use the shuttle system. I ended up after a year as a very successful Imp Teras-Kasi. I had also three other characters, A dancer/Engineer, a Droid/ Bio Eng, and an Armoursmith/Chef. Life was good, not to mention I had more minerals in stock than I knew what to do with.

Then came the space expansion, my dream had come true. I got the pre-ordered copies and got my special in game cruiser ships. I loved the game, and the amount of stuff you could do, the micro management that decided who won the war and who lost was decided by a very small margin of error, as well as success.

Then one day as I was sitting in the Tatooine Cantina, I heard someone say " Boy I cant wait for the new combat system".....A new combat system ???? What was wrong with the old one. So I logged of and actually started to read what was planned for my beloved game.....ARGH. Their taking away all of the content that made it fun.

A bunch of us...actually more than a bunch, signed petitions that went from Canada to Australia to have them keep the game in its pure original form, they had already taken the PvP battlegrounds out which was devistating to us who used them, They axed the CH to bits and rancors were now almost impossible to train. Not to mention aa bunch of other changes that were devastating to the community.....Now this.

I was hoping, as most were, that they would listed to our plea, and not change the game. But to no hope.

It was a friday night when I got home from work, logged on, and strange, a patch is loading?

Then entry to the game, one look at the UI and I saw my TK was now a noob character with no power, and here I was stuck in the middle of dath where I was 2 days before, fighting dath witches. I had no idea the impact the patch was on the combat system, I was killed almost instantly, something that NEVER happened as a master TK......I was in shock. I sat at my computer for 20 min, unable to move, trying to figure out the new system. What did become apparent to me was, 2 days before, I was a master, now I've been nurfed, my armour, nurfed, my weapons, nurfed.......

I admitted defeat and quit.

But I will miss this game, and the awesome community of people we had. I miss all the friends I made, and the great adventures we embarked on......But in the back of my mind, I wish they would change it back to the way it was. I know it will never happen. But hey.........I can dream.
