I have solved how MMO developers can evolve :)

hey,

I have learnt how developers can actually evolve and improve on there MMO's. If MMO developers played other MMO's then they would learn what works well and what doesnt. ie if the guys at FFXI played WOW would they have been able to improve on FFXI even more?

think about it all MMos have something about them that is better than another MMO. If the developers took the time to properly play other MMOs then this may improve there chances of being the next big hit.

Im simply posting this because i have recently started work on a MMO and i find it better playing other MMOs as it allows me to learn what i can improve and what players do want

Sorry if people dont agree im at work and bored and wanted to say hello to the forums properly by posting but yes sometimes i can be slightly

    Maybe a little bit ::::02::

    But seriously, I'm pretty sure nearly every MMO developer has played a lot of MMO's in the past and probably keep playing them. Although they're probably more focussed on playing their own game after they've launched it.

    market research...
    I garuntee you, any developer or designer worth his/her weight in dirt has played every mmorpg out there, not to mention most rpg's or other related genres.

    Of course if they are playing games they are not working on implementing what they find so it now takes longer or they have to hire more people that ends up making the game cost more which does not make anyone happy, the owners decide it's not worth it anymore and gets out of the game business and gets into a more profitable field like making add-ons for windows and adobe products......

    Witty saying to amuse you goes here.
