Why is it caused angry?

Heres a rant for you all.

I join debates on these forums. Anytime I disagree with people they say either I am an angry person, I don't know what I am talking about, or they call me names. None of these disprove or prove anything. None of these are productive. That is what I am angry about. We can argue opinions all day long, but when I state facts, they can't be argued, they can't be changed, they are facts.

Another thing. Don't read what you want in what I post. If I don't say something, I didn't say it. The words I choose are there usually for a reason. Most of the time I'm not debating whats wrong or right, I'm just asking questions of why you think one thing is right and one thing is wrong.

Does anyone get why I may sound angry?

One more thing, if I correct a false fact, people tend to get upset at me. Your the one who had it wrong, lay off. Also, no matter how much you hate the correct fact, it won't make you right.

I don't know, I don't assume anyone is angry. Especially not when it comes to reading things off the internet. Tones and inflections are absent here so unless someone says "I am pissed!" I don't think they are pissed. The only thing I can say about you using "facts" is that you have to remember, sometimes there ARE facts to the contrary. The older I get, the more I realise just how few things are truly defined in this world. Especially when it comes to anything complex.

If you're not getting through to someone to have to ask yourself whether it's worth the bother or not. I've yet to meet a single person, myself included, on ANY forums that won't mis-read things from time to time. That goes triple for verbose posts. Don't let it get your dander up so much. You're not here to win a medal. If someone is really spinning everything you say for everyone to see they are probably doing your job of making them look stupid for you.

There are A LOT of us here on these forums that will admit it if we're wrong. The only thing those of us who will admit it CANNOT stand is when someone shows evidence to prove their opinion and the next person shows evidence from another source to disprove the previous "fact" or to prove their own opinion. A lot of people get tied down to a single "source" and the think from that moment forth that every other source is worthless. I'm not saying you do this at all, just letting you know that some people who disagree with you MIGHT be able to provide foundation for their opinion as well, they just may not do so for one of many reasons.

The best advice I can give you is pure and simple: If you're getting angry over ANYTHING regarding the internet just walk away. It's not worth the ulcer in the future. As for the name calling, I am with you. Sure, I've given to calling people ignorant or stupid from time to time, but normally only after giving them ample chance to prove otherwise. People who generally jump to name calling from the get go don't have anything better to say. I, for one, stop reading their posts pretty quick.

most people here will take into account your opinions and either agree with you or not. but, sadly some are just arseholes. they are some biggots here too. myself i find that over 90% are ok guys/gals here at mmorpg.com and would welcome any debate with open arms. but i feel your fustration i really do
