Here is the third option since the Magistrate was elected for roman and barb you can also ask him to de attend you in the Roman Only thread and free/barbarian only thread it might take some time.
The roman de attending requst thread is Located in The Bath aka Roman only section the title is Deattending request, for Corstopitum. The barb de attending request thread is located in The Sacred Grove aka the barb/freeman only the title is Deattending Requst for Erring.

for those who still decided to buy the game and do not want the toture starting from the word go aka attending contact Augirus if you are a roman to de attend you .I think both of you need to be ingame for this not 100% sure.
