I'm coming back from WOW and reactivating my Old Old account and will be starting a new Toon in Gareth.

I heard that you level much faster in with the DR and Cat expansions. I would like to know if that holds any truth to it?

Also compared to the old game how much better would you say the Graphics improvements are? I know this is hard to quantify but if you could put in terms of % it would give me an idea.

DR adds a lot of nice quests to do from level 30-50.  Those quests give great XP, but there are not a lot of them.

Catacombs is the one that really increased the leveling speed.  Leveling time has gone down severely over the past 18-24months.  Catacombs adds new zones with better XP.  It also adds quests that give you a huge amount of XP as well.  There are also Instances (in 2 varieties) that gives you great XP for doing them as well.

Now many people will still go to the old camping grounds and hunt.  You can still level much quicker there as well.  But, in my experience, it still takes a lot longer hunting there than in Cats.

Yeah I knew i was in trouble when there was a 2K camp bonus on the Boulderlings by the PKB.

Guess I will have to pony up the U$20.00, tks for the info.

I just started playing again last night, im currently useing the
shrouded isles client but i had to get it updated so the graphics are
better, it seems like the water is the exact same as it was before. the
character models have definately improved.  the buildings appear to
have been improved as well. the grass and trees appear to be the same
as they were before tho.
