It will take a bold company to risk anything too different from the mainsteam and sucsesfull games of today. Hopefully, as the MMORPG market reaches maximum player saturation, companies will start to risk different ideas in order to hit on a winner. For now though I fear we are stuck with magical Elves, axe wielding Dwarves and Goblins galore for some time to come
One of the best posts I've read here for awhile. Very insightful.
We can only pray the developers will finnally see that once you've made one dragon/magic game you've made them all.
I'm not sure exactly if Uru Live would fit in to Modern or Cyberpunk (Probably a mix of both), but gosh it's a game I'd love to see. Hail to the Niche Games!

TBO Treborlocke, I really think our best chance to see a really good Cyberpunk MMOG lies with Shadowrun. It's total cyberpunk...'cept with elves, trolls, dwarves, giants, etc...
Personally, I could live without the elves and such but if it gets me into a really good Cyberpunk game so be it!
Edit: they snuck this one by me! See, I'm tellin' ya....

Any HL2 players, pick up Dystopia. It's a cyberpunk FPS game... although I don't know any MMO cyberpunk as of right now
Think of the Freakshows in CoH, they belong in a Cyberpunk universe.
I am not really inclined into this genre myself.
