Best PVP experience EVER!

AC was my first MMORPG EVER!  i played with my friends all the time and most of them have quit due to the lack of population in the game *cough*freetrial*cough*.  ANYWAYS i just have to say that the most fun i have EVER had in AC was the pvp; to be more specific: the PVP in the acadamy dungeon.

now here me out...  anyone remember when they had the new acadamy come out?  it was CRAZY noob pvp 24/7.  there would be massive fellowship and allegiance battles going on right in the dungeon... it was awesome!  it was even my favorite part of AC.  sadly, i will never be able to experience this again for three reasons:

1.) They made the acadamy private; only one person in at a time. ( i  kno wtf right?)

2.) there are probably a total of 3 people running around who are under level 5 these days lol so no one  would go in there anymore.

3.) there are no new players coming into the game... so watev

anyone else remember/participate in the insane acadamy pvp??

i just remember before the academies...Whenever the carebear servers were down we'd all go to darktide and make a newb...then do something crazy like take over a town with 50 level 3's...it was good times.

I  think Turbine totally messed up when they changed the academies. Back in the day, if you wanted to meet new players for vassals and whatnot, you knew that you could go to Holtburg, Shoushi or Yaraq and wait at the Outpost/Training Academy. It was great for allowing experienced players to help out new players.

Now, the academies have like 5 or 6 exit portals in them... so the new players get thrown into empty towns and think the game is dead.

I think Turbine need to go back to the older system so we, the experienced players, know where we can pick up the new players and show them this is still a live game before they feel all alone and quit.

I also think they should put a Manor in the towns.... larger than a mansion, with fortified walls and a destructable front door... that monarchs could control and this would drive people to populate the towns again, instead of just hanging out in Marketplace, Mansions or Villas.

Very true -- when those came out, areas like Arwic and the Abandoned Mine (subway or hub depending on what server you picked post-beta) just cleaned out completely.

Honestly if I could go back in time to the whole beta and Shadow War era of AC1, I most definitely would. Best MMO game times I've ever had.

Im starting to remember that! Damn that was fun. I remember getting one of those newbie quest missions and equipping my noobie char with a powerful crossbow and he would own the academy dungeon. i was at one point the "Noobie King" and any character that opposed my rule would have been struck down. Man it was great. AC pvp was a blast. Sigh.
