P2P Patching

I'm new to WoW, but is the patching done as a P2P download?

I'm on a fast cable interenet connection and it took me like 10-15 minutes to download the lousy 5MB patch that was just out.  My firewall and router are configured exactly how they show on the Blizzard site and I have followed the KB article on slow patch download speeds to no avail.

This isn't the first time either.  The larger patch before this I basically had to walk away and come back 30 minutes later.  Still fairly new so I don't know what my expectations should be.

    there is a way to disable it.

    I don't know how tho.
