Jewel Crafting

Just got done reading Blizzard's new jewel crafting and socketing page:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/townhall/jewelcrafting.html, I got to say that I love the idea that you can replace old socketed gems with new ones without having to get a new set of armor. Also I like the idea that anyone can socket. I guess that if you decide to become a jewel crafter you need to go mining as well.

Is anyone else excited about this like I am?

    Yep. I think this is one of the things the game has been missing. I'm extremely excited about this.

    aye diablo ahh the memories..MOOO    lol

    But i like the idea that you can chage out the gems with new ones. In DAoC if you wanted a new SC spec you had to get a new set of armor.

    I didn't mean to be a downer. Maybe adding jewel crafting will provide some much needed fun out of WoW. I think they have this in EQ, as well?
