3rd Reactivation.

I'm considering getting back into FFXI for the 3rd time.
BUT i have a few questions.

1.Does it still take 3 hours to make a party

2.Is there anything good thast new, without buying chains, or the arabianish expansion.

3. Is PvP still a pain in the ass?

Yes it does for your first question

No nothing outstandingly great without the expansions.

My friend told me they fixed pvp a bit but to me it is still the worst pvp of any game with pvp.

I reactivated for my third time after the last expansion because my rl friend was like "comeon they are makeing it a good mmorpg they are adding a bunch of cool stuff like beseiged" so I came back for a month before buying the toau expansion and my linkshell told me beseiged is mostly lvl70 monsters and all the taou stuff you can't really do it without a high level so I said screw buying the expansion and screw this game and canceled my content id before my free month was up.

1) If you're making your own party, probobly not. However that does depend on time zones. Seeking for parties does indeed take hours.

2) Without Buying the expansions? Umm.. I'm looking at a No.

3) Don't know don't do it. But theres Brenner now, Along with Ballista.

I resubbed once, making it twice I played this game.

I won't do it again because of the re-subscription fee, that is piled on. As well my characters not existing for being not active for so long(not that my characters were worth keeping/nor high enough level to matter)

Tarutaru and mithra are still my two favorite races in any MMO i've ever played. Even if I never played FFXI well, never felt like i conquered this game. My fav thing was the idle animations by NPCs the body movements when they stand around or when you talk to them far better than any other MMO I've played. *drools* at the idea of a mithra standing around with the bouncybouncy movement on their legs. :P

And I just simply love Tarutaru of the cuddle factor, neither Gnomes, nor dwarves in WoW give me that cuddle feeling. Besides I'm a Horde player in WoW. Tarutaru just were so happy and so sad when they wanted to be either it was believable in the way they showed their feelings just from talking to them that I wish I could buy that well made character animations in any other MMO.

I absolutely advise no one to ever resubscribe to this game because of the re-sub fee tacked on in addition to your montly fee.

I reactivated my membership at the start of this year and I didn't get billed anything extra.  They simply charged me the month's fees like I expected.  Maybe the policy is different now, but this is the first I've heard of anything like that.
