Support ??? (GUILDWARS in particular)

I recently (well recently got it resolved anyways) had a GUILDWARS problem. I could'nt log into my account. Well it got resolved it took three months to get it done. I was a beta player (and I don't mean the pregame) and for some reason my login username cahnged to my main account name on th NCsoft sight. I had never logged in with that user name. I even have an old e-mail (yes from NCsoft support three months ago) that is from them and say's my user name and password. Problem is it is not the same as the account name and password it was finally resolved to so I could log in. To make it even better for not being able to login for three months I was'nt offered anything at all to compensate.

    ya NCSoft is one of those renown companies for bad customer support.  Luckily you get several different responses from thier support department.

    • Ignored for a while
    • Immediately responded too; but only if the support can be insulting
    • Ignored for a while, then insulted by support
    • Send you a bogus solution and close the matter as "resolved"

    I think they should do some more laying off in thier PR department to give those GMs a message. 

    On compensation, I am not sure what kind of compensation they can offer for Guild Wars.  They can't exactly give you more game time...

    Anyways what makes the support worse is that I have actually experienced that rare thing with mmo support.  A great support staff.  So my response my be a little leaned due to how much better the support is that I usually deal with compared to the support I deal with from NCSoft.

    Lucky for us their games are going down the pan and we can shift to a company that know whats what ^^

    CoH isn't going down the pan.

    And yes, when my cd key didn't work, they didn't mail me back untill I sent a really pissed email to them, and even then they sent me this shit that you had to put what was wrong in line to this line.

    Man, they piss me off.

    I'm not sure which games you are refering to that are "going down the pan". GW and GWF are doing amazing, L2 is still phenomenal, coh and cov are still fine and auto assault is becoming popular as well. Don't see much going down the pan any time soon...

    Two things:

    Why would you feel you entitled to any compensation?  Do you pay a monthly fee.  NO....  So, what are your losses?  NONE....  and yet you feel you are entitled to compensation.  That is the trouble with the world today.  Everybody feels they are owed something.  You are owed nothing.   If you were unable to login for 6 months, you would still be owed nothing.  Heck, they could shut down thier login server tomorrow and you might never login again and you would still be owed.. NOTHING......

    Second... you pay no monthly fee.  That means that Guild Wars is not able to maintain a customer service staff of any size at all.  They probably have an office with a few support people who are there mostly to take care of bug reports and non-trivial issues.  So, the fact that you could not login was not their highest priority.  Your issue was probably in a stack of thousands of other similar issues that will also take months to get to.  THE GAME IS FREE TO PLAY..   Don't expect to have your issue responded to in less than a few months.

    Are you people crazy!!   Guild Wars is FREE TO PLAY.   They do not maintain GMs.   Get a clue.  PLEASE.....
