A game like Sims but

My friend plays a lot of "Sims" so tonight I decided to look into "Sims Online" and after viewing and reading what it is about, it wasnt what I had in my mind.

Heres what I was thinking:

1.) The game would start off by you selecting your character (as in most games), select sex, and dress he/she however fit; name he/she of course.

2.) Next you can select an area where to build your house from a large City

3.) Then you can create your own house, this would be in building mode but be careful cause once you're out of building mode its hard to get back into; at the cost of money

4.) Once you have your house built, just like in the Orignal Sims youre in Free Mode; this mode swtiches to First Person View as in any other game (EverQuest)

5.) You have access to all your functions such as reading books, playing on the computer in your house, cleaning up messes etc.

6.) This game also enables you to get 1 free vehicle, the kind you need when you get a job

7.) As you get a job and earn money you can then continue to upgrade your house move etc.

8.) You'll need to gain skills, these skills are from the Orignal game "Sims"

9.) This game is online so your friend can start his/her own character/house building etc.

10.) He/she can visit your house just like real life, they can work together and even perhaps fall in love and start a family

11.) Is there an end to this game??? Was there really an end to the Orignal "Sims"

12.) This game would employ NPCs where one can work at; buy item from etc

13.) This game would also have diifferent buildings that he/she can visit to boost up their skills

14.) Due to the overload on server capacity; this game must limit 2 characters per account

15.) After writing all this stuff I think the option to manage your housing (building etc) would be right at character select screen; after you do steps 1--3, then the only way for you to modify your house is to log out of the game and log back in and choose the "Building Mode"

you took the words right out of my mouth the only somewhat realistic game i play a lot is Counter Strike Source.

the point of games is the same as fiction literature which is escapism, and making it too real is defeating the point.

thats why i wont see plays like Los Miserables

So whats the SIMS Online (presently)???

Correct me if I'm wrong but aint that the same thing? Escape to Vegas win the lottery buy merchandise?  Be a host in a TV Show, win money buy merchandise?  Invite Friend over to go hot-tubbing??

If "my game" was too realistic then The Sims Online (presently) would be too realistic as well?

Besides this game "I had" in mind was an MMORPG as well and what more of a better way to "meet someone" lol then in a game like that.
