WTF did my graphics card do to my pc!

my new radeon x800gto makes my pc restart as windows boots up every time... but it runs in safe mode >_<

    Got the newest drivers, if not try second newest? (<- most likely)
    Fans & such working?
    Is your powersupply enough for the card?
    Got another computer to test the vid-card in?

    Safe mode = only basic drivers are loaded which makes me think that the current drivers that are used on normal boot-up are old/corrupted.

    was the old graphics card an nvidia? if so, sometimes you need to remove parts of their software before installing an ati card. not always the case, but can sometimes happen.
    Other than that, same as the above post, update drivers, test in another pc and so on.
