LIES! You are wrong, it is about frederick the muffin top who is trying to find his bottom. Timantha the bottom lives on pluto and the plot of the story is how frederick builds a space ship that is hijacked by and iraqi snake and then iraq officially takes control of pluto. (frederick and timantha were different flavors and were divorced after a year, no children) Sorry for the spoiler...

You totally left out the part where North Korea uses Pluto as its new site for nuclear testing, Iraq protests, a war errupts between the new nations concluded by a duel to the death between Sadam Hussein and Kim Jong Il, and the whole nasty episode is concluded with a nice Christmas Party in Hell. Sheesh, talk about missing the point of the movie....

age of conan - Havnt given this game 2 seconds of my time, dont know anything about it so no comment.

    Darkfall - *Refer to AoC*
Tabula Rasa - If NCsoft dosent add some sort of "station pass" like SoE has, this game is going to follow the same path as Auto Assault.

Fallen earth - *Refer to AoC*

Star Trek online - This will be either make or break. I dont see this game having a medium level player base, its either gonna be huge or shit.

Warhammer - The things you put here, and I deleted, were totally bogus. You claim "the developers will focus alot less on PvE raiding", and "will get alot of advertising". MMO's dont get alot of advertising, hell they dont get any at all outside gaming sites and magazines, there are no TV commericals or anything, not in the US anyways. Anyways, if this game delivers a fraction of the things that are being promised then it will draw a few pvp'ers from games like SWG, DAoC, EvE and WoW.

LOTRO - More mumbojumbo from you. It wont fail because of repetative PvE, people have been claiming that would be the fall of WoW for almost 2 years now.

    period - Troll.

The following games will fail these others will succeed.
Vanguard- vanguard will succeed. While not having the playerbase WoW will have the company making this game has learned a great deal from EQ2 and will implement many changes and stuff EQ2 doesnt have and will work to make a new better mmorpg.
age of conan - While being dark and dreary, AoC will fail it will go along the lines of DDO. Many players will get bored of it fast. It will be very repetitive.
Darkfall - will succeed it will have alot of gameplay very simalar to old school UO but it will have ALOT of other features that will keep a high playerbase for oncomming years. Many hardcore PVPers and old school UOers will flock to this game.
Tabula Rasa - it will contain the success that EQII has now. It will contain a very medium playerbase. Most of that do to it will have low advertizing and not many will know about it, it will still be a fun game.
Fallen earth - Will fail it will be very boring while it will have ALOT of customization like COH/COV not many players will be interested and eventually grow bored of its repetivness.
Star Treak online - Will be cancled.
Warhammer will succeed and have ALOT of success, it wont have hardcore PVP like playerlooting but it will get alot of advertizing, alot of fanbase it will be ALOT like WoW just more dark and have more depth and developers will concentrate alot less on PVE raiding.
LOTRO - Will fail, it also will grow reptitive without any PVP, the games PVE will have the same dungeon scheme and eventually will fall.

    Warhammer online

Period, don't listen to these guys... you are a GOD to this forum!!!! Keep up the good work bro!

Huh!You saying the warcraft series isn't a brand? You really think WoW would have 6 mill player if it wasn't for its predecessor?

Oh yeah WoW is a franchise on line of STO and SWG

Surprisingly I find myself agreeing in part with the OP. I am pessimistic about Age of Conan, I have seen mmorpgs in the past promise a lot and show all the stuff and really not do very well. But we will find out soon enough whether the game has what it takes or not.

Vanguard will fail and be canceled within a year.

    That's not a guess either.

The only new mmo's to attain success will be conan and warhammer.

Remember that EA owns it now.  If it weren't for the fact that EA + MMO = disaster, I might agree with you.  The best games of those you mention are Tabula Rasa and Conan.  Tabula Rasa looks like a lot of fun, but the guys don't even bleed when you shoot them in the head.  The kiddie community of WOW has turned me away from anything less than head chopping gore in MMO's.  Conan has blood and fatalities, but you might be right about the repetitive nature.  Only time will tell.

How many people that play wow knew what warcraft was? :) It spread by word of mouth and the number of people that are into star trek is multiples more than the number of people that were into warcraft. Why are people so adament that wow will be the last mmorpg?

I had to step into this silly thread (STO will be cancelled? heheheheheh) and correct this missinformation about WoW. WoW pulled its fanbase from THE largest online franchise in existance! Blizzard has THE most popular online games in history! Diablo 1 at present time is STILL sold in major stores! That is how insanely popular Blizzard's franchise is. Between 16 million to 30 million gamers have played Diablo 1, Diablo 2, and the rest of Blizzards games over Battlenet.

And guess what was advertised on Battlenet for months, and months, before it released? WoW.

It was not word of mouth that led to WoW being super successful. It was effective marketing and advertising. Blizzard simply advertised to its own fanbase that was over 10 YEARS old before WoW released. Heck, play WoW and look at the WoW trailor! Even inside the WoW game players can get a pet Diablo, giving salute to two of the most popular online francheses in existance.
