WoW vs Guild Wars whats better. IMO WoW is alot better, not graphic wise just game play. PvP in GW kinda suck Whoa OMG 5vs5 in the epic battel of domincence, um in WoW theres 40v40 taking over buildings and killing bosses, also the honar system works great, i have both WoW and guild wars and i have to say WoW blows guild wars outa the water! share you opions

At least people have generally stopped the EQ2 vs WoW threads.
people still play the original EQ more than EQ2.... people would rather play a game where your foot is indistinguishable from your hand than EQ2....

Are you refering to Alterac Valley, the biggest yawn fest I've ever had to endure? Yah, two sides turtling for hours on end is really the tops when it comes to adrenaline pumping pvp.

Guild Wars has better grapichs, PvP, gameplay, and a better leveling system and debt system as well as a better community, IMO.

Luckily, this isn't your forum, and I'll post my "sorry ass opinions" in any thread I like. I didn't start this thread, and I didn't bump it to the top. So I'm not sure how I "resurrected the topic". Why don't I copy and paste my opinion into every "wow vs GW" thread? Probably because I'm not a moron. I dont even need to read the other posts, WoW blows compared to GW.
All i care about PvP and an economic and political system, which both have none of, but PvP. WoW PvP is gear based, who ever has the best gear will win. The BG's are boring, repeative and really only useful for the gear, as is the Honor System, which blows, because thats gear based too.
WoW is nothing more than a gear based game, where you spend 5+ hours with 40 of your favorite, stupid guild mates who you probably never met and never will meet, but you guys talk on TS or ventrilo. 5+ hours to down a bunch of boss, spend DKP (lol what losers) on a piece of gear.....Gear based.
GW on the other hand requires skill and combos. People will bitch and moan that some combos suck, in reality, they just suck at the game. Fuck me, im goina install GW again and play = P Fuck me why do i even have to type this out, it should be obvious to those whose played both.

P.S. to the above posters: sales numbers are an unrelated variable to game quality. "Planescape Torment" was a flop saleswise remember? but i d still consider it the best single player RPG to date. What game is best for you is or rather should be a personal decision; if you just blindly follow the masses then i doubt you ll ever find what you really like: the lemmings analogy comes to mind.
P.P.S. to the OP, this whole question is redundand really. One look at the frontpage will clearly tell you what the majority of posters on this site think of WoW: Its not even on the frontpage in the top 7 anymore.
Now if you still enjoy it, good for you, maybe "go play it" instead of starting redundant threads to bolster your own ego and validate your decision? sounds like a good idea!~ or was it indeed just a lame trolling attempt? eh

Guild wars is free, if you wanna try it, just buy it , theres no monthly fee and even though it sucks imo, its up to you to decide, just like every other game. THese threads are always pointless.

I played both games too and both games offer different taste. For WoW, I like how the skills are set up. I played varies type of classes, one of my favorite class is a rogue. I love to sneak up to unspected foes and stunlock them. I also love playing a druid, changing forms to fit the sutation. That type of element you cant find in guild wars. However there some things I dont like about WoW. I dont like the pve aspect of the game, game is to slow for my taste going 1 to 60. Then WoW completely sucks at level 60. I dont like to farm instance, I dont like to run raids, and the highest rank I well ever see is rank 11. My gear doesnt hold a candle to people in teir 1-3 gear. While my foes get stronger by spending 8 hours a day in bg, or by raiding, Im suck with no way to advance, leaving a bad taste for WoW
Guild Wars is more a team oriented PvP game, more so then WoW. The 4vs4 PvP matches are fun for awhile, but the True PvP aspect of the game doesnt start until you join a guild and have your 8vs8 guild battles. While Guild Wars doesnt allow you to use as many skill in WoW, however you do need to know what type of debuff a meser or necro is casting on you, is one of many elements I like about the game. While GW lack one on one matches and world pvp, GW 8vs8 battle outshine WoW BG matches. And If you need to take a break from GW, you dont have to worry about being outgear or lossing rank while your gone.
WoW is more of a pve game. Since everyone is cap at level 60 and the only thing holding people back to do blizzard "New Conent" is gear. Can 40 man tier .5 gear raid naxx? Can tier .5 gear beat tier 2 foes? However once you get your fat epic loot the only skill you need to use is 4 buttons, compare to guild wars 8 buttons. Example: Hunter only need to use is scattershot, faint death/ trap marcro, aimshot, multi-shot. Conclusion: If you like 90% pve and 10% pvp then WoW is the game for you. But if you like 90% pvp and 10% pve, then GW is the game for you.
But at least in those they were comparing apples to apples. Guild Wars and WoW are so completely different that comparing them is pointless.
