After all the shit the mourning team has given players, mmorpg.com still hosts thier ad on their main page... I know they need money, but this is WORSE than the powerleveling/goldfarming ads

Just to clarify...Loud Ant Software is not owned by the same company or person that originally headed up the Mourning project. If it were we would not be advertising for them as I actually believe that they were scandalous. Loud Ant purchased the rights to the game and they have assured us that there are no business ties to "Dave" whatsoever.
This is a new company and we have to give them a chance. We did decide NOT to re-list their game at this time - mainly because the community did not seem to want it here...but we have to keep our advertising open to all.
I would not make this out to be a money thing. They purchased about 1% of our total impressions in a month - a very, very small purchase. It is the principal that we can't deny to do business with a company and people that we have never worked with before.
Now if there are any cases of Loud Ant committing fraud against customers then we want to know about it and we will not host the ads here for a company like that. Just because a company buys up anothers assets, that should not mean that their reputation should go with it.

To clarify this - some of the "Devs" still work for Loud Ant I have been told - but the owner and the one responsible for our de-listing of Mourning is not a part of this at all (Dave @ Limitless Horizons Ent.). Although some of the devs at the Mourning project were rude and unpleasant to work with - this was not why we removed Mourning. We removed it because we felt the company was about ready to commit fraud (and I think they did).
It is important to understand that the development team in Romania did not have anything to do with the very bad decisions being made by the owner of the company who was based in the USA. I think it is to be expected that Loud Ant might want to retain a few of the original crew in order to have to insight into the development of the assets they acquired.
I am not "going to bat" for these guys, I just think they might deserve a fresh start assuming everything they say is true. Honestly, given the reputation Mourning had I think they already have a heck of an obstacle to try and overcome. Here are a few links relating to the buyout and their new plans:

than why is Dark and Light still listed here? no bigger scam than that thing is/was.
dark and light literally scammed 8,000 peeps out of $60! they advertised SoG as a stand alone game when they really knew it was the unfinished version of DnL. THATS a true scam. not too mention they're being sued for using stolen technology and a whole list of other questionable stuff they did already.

that company was never out to scam anyone. anyone who thinks that is pretty foolish. who builds something as expensive as a mmorpg to scam people with and than only accept a few hundred orders at most when they could of taken thousands and thousands like Farlan DnL did and is still doing? why shut down servers when you can keep takin orders???
btw I am STILL waiting for my refund from Farlan ....weeks now

Admin, did you know that the new owner is a 17-year-old with no game making experience beyond flash games with the old devs as "advisers"? The same people were moderators on the old board are back. This information was widely curcumvented at krel's libary before "Loud Ant" threated them with legal suit.
Seems just like the old crap; very incompeteitent team with no resources and the same threating gestures (lawsuits, and bans).
We have not seen any threatening gestures and if a 5 year old created a MMORPG it would be listed at this site - provided it met our requirements...I surely won't discriminate against the owner of a business based on his age (I started my first business at 16 and surely would not have appreciated that).
Again, we did not de-list Mourning because of the game itself - it was because of one man, Dave at Limitless Horizons who was constantly showing us inappropraiate, threatening behavior and at the time was taking pre-orders and charging people before delivery of a product.

You obiovusly don't watch their forums or have viewed the message at Krel's Libary about the lawsuit threat( just like Somethingawful.com). The last 10 pages or so of the mouring thread talks about the new team...

Anyway, You might as well relist the game then, if you have enough confindence in them to take money for advertising. You seem to have a good sense. I don't care...this new "team" isn't going to be involved in Romanian scams and might be trying it's hardest for all I know. It's just never going to put a release-ready game out.

One thing to have gold farming/gold selling ads here. Its another to be spinning BS for a BS company and their BS Game.

We are not spinning anything for them but we are forced to look at only the facts (as opposed to a bunch of Internet rumors). Again, the money is not an issue - it was a very small amount of advertising and we accepted it because honestly we have no reason not to. This is not Limitless Horizons which is who we had serious issues with before. This is a new company so what choice do we have except to treat them as one?
We will let Loud Ant forge their own reputation, and base our current and future actions on that not the past of a company whom they bought assets from. Perhaps they will behave the same, if they do then we will react to that.

But you can bet your sweet ass that IF mmorpg.com had to take any financial responsibility for refunds of anybody that might be scammed or ripped off by this "Thrones of Chaos" crap... they'd think twice before agreeing to host their ads on this site - and I bet you that we would NOT see any Thrones of Chaos ads here.
Like it has been said before tho.. let the piece of crap company spend their money advertising here. They have a helluva uphill fight on their hands regardless and will be lucky to even recoup their advertising investment. Actually... I hope that "Loudant software" or whatever it's called now gives mmorpg.com 10 million damn dollars to advertise and then sells only about 19 copies of their crap game. In other words.. I hope they lose bigtime money. Why? For even becomming associated with anything do do with the old Mourning... and for still acting like Nazi's on their forums. I've already stated several times that they are acting in EXACTLY the same manner as the old Mourning nazis on their forums. They deserve nothing but to get burned for this.
So yes, mmorpg.com if you can sell them 50% of the ads here for make a ton of money.. go for it. I'm all for you making as much money as possible off these jerk-offs.
